@cwshere1 Hello there, my wheels are 8"x18" ET 20 tire is on some pictures 235/40-18, and on some 235/40-18 on front and 255/35-18 rear.

Id go for wider ones on the rear if my wheels was 9".

Thinking of going for 245/40-18 on front and rear next time i buy tires.

My car has been lowered about 45mm front and 50-55mm rear from stock.

And if your 420 is also a w126 (and not w140) these will fit just the same way as on my car.

Engine in the 300SE is 2996cc straigt 6 :) 188hp

Hello and thank you mate!, the car has H&R Springs (apx 45mm lower) and with Bilstein Sport dempers. And theres no bodykit on the car its just a normal series 2 (1986-1991) w126.

Hey, i might be getting my hands on one of these soon(my mate has one in good nick and he wants to get rid of it) so i was wondering if anyone could let me know the economy of them? Might have it as a daily thats why i would like to know

If the car you´re after is a 300SE, then you won´t have to worry about the economy. This model is not exactly a "gas guzzler". These have a 6-straight cylinder engine that averages 11L/100km. The most difficult issue is to find used spare parts, as new ones from official Mercedes dealers are really expensive. Make sure that power windows, power locks, starter and other electrical equipment works perfectly on that car!....

Hey yo Roxydriver, sounds like a chick name but dude honestly when i was in high school a year ago, i had a 89' 420 SEL, same body style, but honestly the chicks loved it!! i would race random people here and there on the freeway, and it would rape almost anything.....you know but within reason, no exotic cars and evos and stuff like that but i managed to kill a brand new 535 BMW, but seriously get one, girls love the back seat :).....after some guy rear ended me, im now lookin at the 560 SEL's

This the best car of all the Mercedes-Benz range of models...and always will be. The newest Mercedes cars are besieged by electronic failures..too much technology is not always recommendable, the older the better in this particular case.

I have twin w126's (560 + 420sel) and both are anthricite gray (not as pretty color) and I love 'em both to death.
