She strikes me as a bit artificial, and not humble at all. But how many stars of her calibre are humble? I guess they need that huge ego to get where they do. Still, I wouldn't trade the hardships she's lived through as a part of the whole package of stardom. And I do enjoy her persona from her golden days of tv.
Of course Mary's 40 years older now, but can't you still hear her signature style? That charming, disarming way of talking that has made her a television icon and a fantastic personality.
exactly Mary! "Where are you seeing them?" I can't find any of her shows anymore! we have deja-view up here in Canada but they don't seem to put these on it...for shame!
@BCraingirl , they're available on DVD! The first six seasons are all out on DVD, and the seventh (and final) season will be released on DVD on October 5.
I love Mary Tyler Moore, and loved both of her shows when I was growing up. I know she has diabetes, but also noticed her speech pattern was slurred or somewhat different. I wonder if that was from an illness or what??
@deanaugust...No i think it's probably just she like everybody else is getting older and you voice changes look at Lucy Ball, her voice changed dramatically when she had gotten older..
I'll never understand all this plastic surgery she has had. It is not just rejuvenative surgery, but she has radically changed the shape of her face, and her nose. It has nothing to do with getting older. I thought she had the cutest nose in the world, for one thing, and a sweet, somewhat round and cute face. She was not a conventional beauty, but a beauty nonetheless.
She has that exact same grimace of The Joker from the first Batman movie. Ever dance with the Devil in the pale moonlight?

It sounds to me like she's developing Parkinson's disease.
Pretty scary for such a hot lady from the 70's

@deanaugust I think so. She has had it pretty rough over the last few years.

@deanaugust She was a big time alcoholic.
Jsd8675 1 year ago
what makes you think that, have never heard of Mary having alcohol problems.

You can find it on imdb/wikipedia in the late 80s, she had admitted herself to The Betty Ford Clinic for a short time for a "Social Drinking Habit"

I believe she also had to check herself into 'The Betty White Clinic' as well!
(sorry, cheap shot)

That's a cute story, but I can't believe no one had the decency to bother tell Mary her dressing room was given to Ed Asner!

somewhatlongdong 2 years ago 12
Of course she looks and sounds older, you dumbass. She's 72 years old. It's a process called aging. Perhaps you've heard of it.
