..You only benefit my point: It IS a TV show, they WOULD have researched what these people are like in real life, and therefore they would have been after the biggest arseholes they could find - for good television. It's 'Dragons den' not 'Lovely Yuppies'.

Dragons have a proven track records in various fields and each have very different personalities, making for an entertaining show

I don't think it's panto so much. Certainly their 'nastier' moments are the ones that make the edit, but otherwise they are really looking for business opportunities, and you can see them genuinely get angry and nasty.

I'm not denying their business acumen, but certain characteristics, such as being ethical or timid or 'nice', undeniably run against what it often takes to be an excellent capitalist. That's not true in every case, but I wouldn't want to share a drink with these people.
