There is also a book you need to find in the library called "101 detective stories"...It's been a very long time since I played this game but I think it has the REAL will in there.
Dingle, you sneaky, crafty, backstabbing bastard! it was you all along!
I was a Man Who Waited 16 years for clue and to finish this game but not from this link. This is not a completion of the game....When i realized who is mourdered i tell myself...
... DINGLE !!! You fucking bastard !!!!!!!! :))))))))))))))))) it WAS you :)
@Targen81 - I've talked to the game's creator, Sam Manthorpe, and he said it was a bug in the game - the piano's supposed to be upstairs before the murder. The same goes with the "E" letter, which is included in only 6 out of 10 evidence objects and should be on every one of them.
I had this it was from a demotape i got with an english magazine it was call zapp64 it was a fung game but the controls were advancedfor the day dat was thing with it
I really need to play this through again. Never solved it as a kid, I remember getting that code from a magazine as I never could figure it out on my own. You sure found another great game!
The profressor mention that Angus McFungus had a terrible memory for numbers. So the code for the safe was his birthdate. It's mentioned on a silvertray in the kitchen. 21 Mars 19. The code is therefor 21031919. :-)
Loved this game and still do. I got it free on a cover tape from the games magazine zzap64. I got quite far in this game back in the day it was very atmospeheric. I now haveit on emulator using ccs64, but i think the game crack i have is a bit dodgy.
Download a c64 emulator such as winvice (free). Then download the game file and open it with the emulator. I have put retro gaming related links in my channel profile.
I remember the code was a four digit combination. I saw it in a computer magazine hint page almost 20 years ago. However it didn't say where to find the combination. It's usually a good idea to examine the items which I'm not doing in this video.
Getting great memories from the game, I recall I played it many times till the part that the detective was in library and the light sunddenly went out. Someone shot me. Never got pass that one...was that scripted happening?
Never played this as far myself. I was rather limited in my English at that age and I think I didn't have the patience to concentrate on this for long periods since I had so many other games. I was more impressed by Maniac M. which I played at about the same time. It was possible to see the objects so it wasn't necessary to check every item in a dictionary, only those which weren't recognizable.
You should find a written walkthrough of the game with Google if you're curious about the library.
I love the internet
Thanks for posting - I had thought I'd never see this game again.

They should re-release this on the Wii (both enhanced and origional versions), just like they did with "impossible mission"

I just checked a walktrough in GameFAQs. The code wasn't a four digit combination as I remembered. It's 210319, assuming we can trust the walktrough.
