I wish, right? Sadly, they kind of fell through since while they boasted the Final Fantasy title, they came out a little under the radar and didn't really pick up popularity.

Were they all remade on the DS and re-released out here, surely they'd get a far better reception... after all, we're on Etrian Odyssey 3 and that's a far less popular genre by today's standards.

They did Remake SaGa 2 and 3 is coming too... but there are no plans for a release outside Japan... What I would really want is a Makai Toushi SaGa Remake for the DS, with the option of playing with either the enchanced 3D OR the Wonderswan Colour Graphics... wouldn't that be really cool?

When I tried to change my firmware, my flash cart didn't work at all. It only works with a specific FW, it's no big deal, I've already played SG2 DS, it's fun. besides to be honest I prefer Saga 1 to 2, but that's just me.

This is the remake "Makaitoushi Saga" for the Wonderswan Color.

We would've had a chance at getting had the WSC itself ever been localized as a system. With the gameboy already present, I guess it just wasn't seen as a reasonable marketing opportunity.

The WonderSwan Color version of Final Fantasy Legend (AKA SaGa) was a Japanese-only release, meaning you'll have to looks at import video game shops on the web to find this version of the game and a WonderSwan Color system.

Plotwise. I felt that he was a bit random- not necessarily plot-armored random, but he was certainly a strange choice for a last boss.

The solo run was easier with the gameboy version, because you could raise your strength to 255 (even though the abilities screen display stopped changing after 100). I think they fixed that bug in the wsc version, though.

By the way, I've never tried a solo run with Makai Toushi before. I can barely manage the challenge of using an all-monster party. I guess I'll have to give this a try someday.
