no he's not. There's a Rampal edition for flute, so that may be what he's playing off of, unless he did his own edition.

Agree that the flute playing is stunning! Just a thought in response to organboi. First, I'm guessing that nobody asked the pianist whether he minded this being posted on youtube in the first place - his agent and lawyer might have a view on that. Secondly, the microphone was obviously badly placed, too close to the piano, so it would of course sound as though he was playing too loudly. Worth getting one's facts straight.

I'm glad to hear a flutist with the ability to take on a monumental violin concerto and do it justice. I applaud you! I acquired an Altus and have received many positive reviews from my colleagues. Please commit this concerto to memory, and I would expect to hear or better see you perform this with a premiere orchestra on a famous concert stage. Thank you for your excellent contribution towards the continued rising of the flute to the performance stature upheld by violinists and pianists.
