I just LOL'd at "One of them is the springs. One of them is the lock."
BTW, the driver on the can opener's supposed to fit small phillips head screws.
And of course, the beauty of Victorinox tools (and Wenger, too, I imagine) is that each tool has an intended purpose and then the user comes up with several unofficial uses for them.
I have the Swisstool X...only difference is mine has a sissor where your serated blade is. Ive owned and carried just about all of them.... Gerber OTF's, Gerber Legend 800, Leatherman Juice XE (still use that one), Leatherman Wave,Core, and a SOG powerlock.. I currently alternate between my Spirit X and Swisstool X depending on how i feel that particular day.. Both are absolutely BOMBER construction.. I always carry another EDC blade so having onehanded opening on my MT isnt necessary.
great video and humorous at some parts. i just ordered a black oxide swisstool spirit s on amazon after much back and forth between leatherman and victorinox. i know swisstool and the spirit arent exactly the same, but they're similar enough for me. thanks alot for the info and the details!
I have picked this tool as the best value of its type.
Its good to see and hear a review from someone who appreciates quality tools that work for you. I find it satisfying that something I have carefully chosen performs as it was designed to do and enables me to get the job done and because it has many different blades/tools also can be used for unusual jobs.
Yes i have a leatherman...well accually i have several. But mine did not come with a crimper so then i just took a small piece of wood Put it into the empty part of the pliers put the wire on one side then squeezed and it worked but not too well. I notice your in theater. I have been in lets see..i think 6-7 shows. But I may not be doing one for a while
Yes you would put the crimp in that part and squeeze for a crimp. Also I think a lanyard hole is so that you can also physically attach it to your body, becuase when you take the tool out it is no longer attached to your body, technically. I had to use a lanyard hole when I was up on a ship's mast before for the same reason.
Oh and by the way, loved part two. Action, suspense, and I didn't see this coming based on part one.
I just got one today in polished mirror finish.
Looks like the one I will use a lot.

mrp is $120. But I'm sure with little looking you can find it cheaper. I think I paid 75ish.
