  • My favorite Dr who story ever is "Dalek" it's just an amazing story and it was the first Dr who story that truly introduced me to the Daleks and definitely my favorite Dalek story and Christopher Eccleston story.

my second favorite Dr who story would be "The caves of Androzani" my favorite story of my favorite Doctor (Peter Davison) just wished he stayed longer :( but still an amazing story and the best regeneration story ever.

  • my fave is the army of ghosts/dooms day

  • I think it's either Utopia or Blink, or the immpossible planet. I like Blink cause of the scare factor Utopia because of the master, captains jacks return, the concept of the end of the universe and the music, And than the impossible planet because of the characters the devil and a real test of the doctor and roses loyalty in peril.

  • actually I forgot about the family of blood and human nature which was actually the best episode in my opinion god I loved series 3 best doctor second best companion best stories etc. etc. etc.

  • personally I think pretty much every episode of series 4 was shit!!!!!! but I would say the end of time.

  • My favourite is The Stolen Earth! (Not Journey's End though, just The Stolen Earth)

  • @tomob57

The way the writers use words is -of course - one of the most important aspects of Doctor Who.

Also it is one of the reasons Doctor who is such a big success.

In the episode midnight instead of having a monster chase the Doctor around London or have a big monster trying to eat everyone, the writer uses the power of words to instil fear into the viewer.

A monster that copies you. Becomes you. Then makes you follow. Genius

The performance David Tennant gave was phenomenal.

  • It's so hard to choose...mmm

I thought midnight was absolutely brilliant.

The way mickeleh explained it was very interesting to.

I think midnight is one of the best because the Doctor is always going on about how brilliant humans are, and it turns out that humans are the monsters in this story.

-I know there was some other kind of creature, but what I mean is that the humans were the ones ready to turn on each other and kill anyone when they were threatened. -

  • I didnt like blink or the empty child.

Most Doctor Who stories have some kind of plot development or character development and a good moral message.

E.g. In the Fires of Pompeii Donna changes the Doctors mind about fixed deaths.

Midnight, one of the messages is that Humans can be the monsters.

New Earth, Rose and the Doctor kiss.

I feel that the only point of the episodes Blink and The empty child was to be scary and I dont like that, when somethings scary for no point.

  • Oooh favorite Doctor Who story, that's a hard question xD

It's too hard to choose from the new series'. I love a lot of the episodes in Season 2 because they're funny, but Season 4 has some great story-lines. I think the episode I enjoy watching most is the season 4 ender (Journey's End) because all of my favorite characters come back. Blink is a good episode too though. The first time I saw it it scared me shitless LOL xDD

  • Blink has a really good scare factor.

  • mine would be when darliks were all gathering in their big spaceship and when the doctor met with the darliks' "mother"?

  • Hmm I dont remember that one. Whos the doctor in that one?

  • i don't dislike you barry, but i find it offensive that you are spending your time making videos to put on youtube when you could be spending that time trying to get a job.

    JOBS ARE IMPORTANT.

GET A FUCKING JOB YOU WANKER

  • Mate I have 2 jobs now, one of them is voluntary working with charity and the other one I start today.

I have been looking for work for ages but it is really difficult to find work because of the recession and I have seen friends lose their jobs because of it.

If you think Im full of it why do you watch my videos?

I rather have a job, I dont do Youtube videos for the money, I do them as a hobby in my spare time.

  • No offense mate but I hate people who make assumptions of someone who thinks they know the person who they watch.

For the record I like to have a job as mentioned in the other comment.

  • this is such bull shit.:

    "anything else?"

"well one of the things i love about it is the way he uses words, erm...."

    "ahh...excellent...that's cool"

I honestly do not believe how much shite that is. Barry, you are so full of shit. Just get a real job so that you can pay tax and start to pay back the money that the government, and therefore the hard working folk, have spent on your video games.

  • I loved Human Nature and the Family of Blood. It's such an amazing episode, and I also loved the outtakes of that episode as well.

My favorite story is a tie between The Stolen Earth/Journey's End and The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. I love both of those story arcs so much, I just can't decide which I love most.

  • I loved the outtakes in them as well.

The Stolen Earth/Journey's End was a brilliant way to end the last series.

The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances is a brilliant two parter that had a great story.

  • In terms of a single episode, I would have to go for Blink (the one with the angel statues). For a story arc, has to be John Simm as the Master.

  • Great choices mate. I love John Simm as the Master.

  • Ive only seen about 8 episodes, i'm going to buy some boxsets and watch them, but so far I like the one where its sort of a parallel universe and rose' dad is still alive and everyone has strange earpieces, and the one where they go to the day of the queens inauguration and there's like a woman inside the TV? it was the ones where it was David Tenant. another great video barry

  • The parallel universe one was good. I didnt like the woman inside the TV one. Thanks for watching Danny.

  • tomb of the cybermen is my favourite story its the best ive ever seen

  • Thats a very good story from Patrick Troughton, The Cyber Controller looks creepy when I looked at it.

I also liked a few of Troughton's stories but my fave from Troughton was The War Games.

  • Great video Barry. I love the inclusion of a youtube fave. My fave story is John Simm playing the Master x

  • Thanks Gary. John Simm as the Master is a true winner. Loved his part totally brilliant.

  • I love that you love the inclusion of a youtube fave.

  • Sweet Video Again, But Sadly I Don't Watch Doctor Who

  • Thanks and aw that you dont watch Doctor Who.

  • strangely your intro music reminds me of vintage night club music today, lol. Some of my favorite episodes are Blink and Silence in the Library. Great video once again Barry :)

  • Your not the only one to think this Andrew lol. Great choices of episodes mate.

  • miike snow

  • ive always loved the christopher eccleston one with the children and the gas masks, loved that episode XD

  • Ah The Empty Child/Doctor Dances 2 parter was brilliant to watch.

  • Good video, mate :)

  • Thanks Reece.

  • i will say the last 2 episodes of the 1 with catherine tate

  • The Davros stories were great to watch.

  • Barry. This was a great edition and having Mickeleh was epic! There's nothing he can't do!

Well done you two. I loved your explanations of your favourite episodes.

  • Thanks Bill I always appreciate your comments friend.

  • i must find a way to watch this show somehow as i've heard sooo much about dr. who. great video barry!

  • Thanks Bill, you should watch it one day, its fantastic.

  • I love you guys.

Makes me care about Dr. Who.

  • I love you Jake, you are awesome.

  • that or Blink

  • Blink is a great episode.

  • Human nature was good but i dont think its that good my fave was girl in the fireplace hands down

  • The Girl In The Fireplace is a great 1 part story.

  • I liked Mick he let me use his pens

  • Mickeleh is brilliant.

  • I love "Blink" from season 3, just the way it was constructed. That being said the one you picked was also a great episode.

  • Blink is a brilliant episode.

  • The season 3 DVD with that epsiode has an easter egg, which is of course the easter egg featured in the episode of the Doctor reading his part of the conversation.

  • I remember hearing about that. I still havent found that easter egg.

  • If you wan't to know how to find it let me know.

  • I would love to know please.

  • If you go to the scene selction menu and go through to the second page of the blick episode, you can then select the "Blink" title in the upright hand corner.

  • Nice one mate thanks I will remember that now.

  • I love episode 6 DALEK! ...

  • That is the best 1 part story in Doctor Who. Loved every minute of that story as well.

  • I don't think its my favourite but I really loved 'the end of the world' the second ep in season 1.

Just because it really struck a chord with me when they go from having just (not) wintessing the destruction of earth, to being back in the present where people are around and its all still to come, and all Rose wants is chips

  • Yeah thats true about the ending of that episode. Does strike a chord.

  • yh i agree with toxxish. the weeping angels is a good episode. but i also like the ones with davros, when catherin tate bcomes a timelord

  • I liked the Davros ones too, really good way to end Series 4.

  • I agree with you Barry, Mine also has to be Human Nature/The family of blood I thought that was so creepy!, then probably it would be Blink(the one with the weeping angels). I also like Tooth and Claw, The sound of Drums, Bad wolf, the girl in the fireplace and the Idiots Lantern just to name a few!

  • Good choice of episodes really interesting to watch.

  • My favourite is when Luke finds out that Darth Vader is his Dad..

  • lmao

  • LOL.

  • BAZZZZZZZZZAAA

  • HEY.

  • You should attempt to write a episode for Dr. Who :)

  • That is an excellent idea Dave, maybe I should :).

  • Brilliant Barry, my favourite is "Turn Left" =D

  • Good episode, not bad in my opinion. Nice story before it went to the finale.

  • Hmm, good question Barry... I don't watch all too much Dr Who, mainly because I'm not a massive fan of the Doctor character himself. So, of the few episodes that I have seen, I quite like the one with the weeping angels, largely because he didn't feature in it very much. Plus it was quite a tidy piece of storytelling.

  • Yeah sometimes I prefer some of the villians in Doctor Who as well Josh. Good choice on the episode.

    It was great storytelling.

  • i liked the gas mask zombies one

  • That was a really brilliant 2 parter back from the first series.

  • I think that the mask children episode was awesomely scary

    Great video

im not sure what the episode was called

    Ed

  • Loved that 2 parter from the first series.

It was called The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances

  • ohhh the weeping angles (think i spelt that right right?) :p

    scaird me lots :D

  • Hi 5 for first view and comment

  • Hi 5 indeed.

I remember the weeping angels. That was a scary episode.
