I went pheasant hunting in south Dakota last year with my dad and some friends. The population was down so we only got 14 birds

Iowa's Pheasant population is down 40% or more from last year, it was equally as bad last year, we only shot 200,000 last year (whole state of Iowa) and our normal before that was 1,000,000. So things aren't good.

If you want good huntin...come to eureka, sd...lots of deer, pheasant, and geese...nice small town with nice people who enjoy the company...many houses for rent to for people to stay in

I live in Pierre SD, its close to Winner SD(pheasant hunting capital of the world).

Anyway we go 3 miles out of town and can get are limit after a few hours

igooit once a yuear to go out phesant hunting. We go to aberdeencand i hunt with my dad and uncles. it was really wet this year but we would go south of chelsea and cresbard, and wed limit out every day. I moving out there to go to northern when i graduate, but roadhunting is always a blast and its a lovely rural country too

Eureka, SD is the place to be! We go out every year on opening weekend and have failed to limit out (with a group of at least 10, that's 30 roosters in the bag!) only one day out of 30. It's crazy fun!

theres nothing better than walking through a corn field with your family and 2 bet friends.....my boy tillman and my hunting dog kobe......we go every october for the opener.......it is the greatest place on earth....i willl be 90 years old and still going to south dakota to hunt pheasant.....and road hunting is the best thing ever invented
