  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA This is awesome!!!!!

  • not that i didn't already think so but i just gotta say, this video made me laugh so hard. it's fcking epic. G - G#, G - G#. kudos to you - you are winning!

  • interesting

  • highest studio leadvocal notes are in showbiz and at the end of microcuts (both G#5). in the backing vocals of hyper music he's singing an A5 (2 : 52) Occasionally in time is running out live version he's hitting B5 (check 360 tour) and the highest note ever is in MCM Cafe Tour 1999.. the song is agitated and he reaches C#6.. but i have catched these all notes only by ear so if someone has better information please let me know :)

  • @rapalapeli think agitated was just a C

  • @rapalapeli In Overdue live 1999 he hits a Bb5

  • @poptart2345 Can you send a link? I searched for it, but in that live clip he only hit E.

  • @RubenHogh watch?v=QtQ-c7EKTbM

cpriicorn tells me at around 2:10 somewhere he hits a Bb5

  • @poptart2345 yes true, but he doesn't sing the Bb5 that well, but yes it is hard to make it sound good when it's such a high note!

  • @rapalapeli do you have a link for the C#6 vid?

  • I'd like to point out that this is not the highest note in Micro Cuts, the highest is also a G#5

  • i'd just like to point out if you all watch muse "showbiz" live at Eurockeennes 2000, he hits an "A" :)

  • Actually, the final note he hits in the Glastonbury version of Butterflies & Hurricanes is higher than than the note in Showbiz; he hits an A.

  • Hmm I Think that was the guitar jajajajajajajajajaja XD Jk

  • I noticed a really high note in Megalomania which must be pretty close to these. i didn't hear it at first because it's a harmony, but its around 3:39 in the song :) check it out.

  • @rapeyadog I did too, it is close. It is a G5

  • @poptart2345 oh cool :P thought it sounded pretty close :)

  • @rapeyadog yeah you were right. It is very close

  • @rapeyadog nice name btwizzle

  • @poptart2345 haha :P you're the first person who's found the funny side

  • @rapeyadog :D

  • haha, awesome

  • I guess you`ve got too many time on your hands...

  • @gregory06 @MattPorterrz16 whoops, I just said the same as you it seems

  • @gregory06 Micro Cuts also has a G# in it. At 2:54, just about the last bit he sings in it. Although this was the funniest ever, it's an even score on micro cuts and showbiz :)

  • I was thinking the same today...even though Muse are my favourite band for some stupid reason the only song i'd heard off of showbiz before today was sunburn. I definitely think that note in showbiz is his highest now.

  • you would notice, if you actually listened to Micro Cuts, there sings your G# 2:54 minutes in. Fact.

  • As said before, he gets a G# (or Ab) in Micro Cuts as well, roughly 2:54 in. He gets the G in Megalomania (dis-GUISE at the end) as well, which I think is the prettiest high hit :-)

  • @Ikonicre r u sure he only hits a G in Megalomania? i compared the two clips of micro cuts and megalomania and megalomania sounded much higher

  • @jackieson97 Just did a whistle-check. Megalomania's (dis)guise is 1 semitone lower than the high note in Micro Cuts at the end. You'd deceived by the enormous space in the chord. The lower is an E, the high part a G. Quite mundane tertian, were it not that the G is an octave higher making it a 'decime' (untranslateable), 10 steps up the ladder instead of 2.

Which is probably what we all love about the song anyway. Other than that it's Muse I mean and they don't "do" less than great.

  • Actually Matt's highest note was an Ab

    /trollface

  • @rockwellumrocks2 *Bb.

    /trollface

  • zetas :O Oh I'm trembling... Awesome

  • G#5*

  • @Tyrelcobain03 I also noticed it

  • showbiz is higher than micro cuts, i notice it, does anyone else?

  • You pick the wrong moment in micro cuts... In the part just before the final riff matt hits G# as well

  • nice info dude!

  • Whoah. Robert Pattinson can match this.

  • @TwiRobism Whoah. Robert Pattinson can't hold it nearly as long.

  • I got a throat sore from trying to sing Falsetto.

Lesson from story? Never try to sing Falsetto like Matt, he always wins.

  • @robloxfan23 yeah he doesn't only win singing in Falsetto, he wins everything 'cause he's MATT :3

  • I did notice that too, I really don't understand why people forgot about Showbiz...

  • 52 people has a throat infection

  • my band covers hocus pocus by focus, vocal hits an A

  • i can hit that note and slightly higher but i am only a kid

  • This is evidence that Matthew Bellamy is indeed an alien and therefore would make a great Doctor Who.

  • @Boston19931234 OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!!!!

  • @Boston19931234

He could sing the theme too.

  • Now then I notice. :D

  • Then again, it's falsetto.

  • lol! he's great! x

  • I'm pretty sure he's not human.

  • well you can discuss matt´s highest note in studio, but live it´s muscle museum (HEY YOU CRAZY KIDS!!) that contains his highest note :)

  • @twimatt Not anymore :)

  • On Microcuts, at about 2.53, Matt sings another G#

  • i cant believe that there is some fag on youtube comparing matt bellamy to that douche from twilight....its obvious bellamy is greater than that asshole

  • oh god i cant stop laughing at 0:19

  • Microcuts goes up to A in the end

  • Comment removed

  • The highest note in Micro Cuts - the one he sings in the bridge - is also a G#

    lol

  • your case can rest all it wants, It would help if you played the highest note he hits in Micro Cuts, not this exerpt from the chorus.

  • matt bellamy ♥

  • He actually hits the A above in microcuts but it's not in the chorus, it's in the bridge at around 2;51

  • so?

  • dude, the end chorus of megalomania HAS to be higher. I might just be crazy.

  • @people111

Megolamania also goes up to a G =P

  • @MTGlipp I know, I can't believe people really only thought it in Micro Cuts, because Futurism also goes up to a G =D

  • @vikingattien

That being said, the G in Megalomania is my favourite, out of all the famous Bellamy-high head voice notes =P

  • @MTGlipp Can't argue with that really, it's a pretty amazing note. Well, the whole song's amazing but y'know =P

  • Well keep in mind that Anthony green does not use falsetto. That's all I'm trying to say

  • This never fails to make me laugh! :D

  • That's not the highest note of Micro Cuts. The highest note of Micro Cuts is at 2:54.

  • they are actually enarmonic

  • ehm... in the way he sings it it's not high, It's a special technique which isn't hard to do.. he isn't using his full voice. He's a good singer and i love muse but it isn't high

  • press 3 and 4 repeatedly

  • from 0:28 till' the end.. he sounds like a rooster :D

  • haha did you guy's ever think of the operalike voice in dark shines? that is still higher I believe, and sung by Matt if you aks me...

(I mean the backing vocals during the chorus,)

  • Lol, G#

  • If you guys like Matt Bellamy's voice because of the high notes, I would highly recommend checking out Circa Survive, Anthony Green the F# that is in microcuts chorus, without falsetto, and rarely/ never uses falsetto for high note (which is kind of "cheating" in a lot of singer's views.) I personally love falsetto, but I'd check out anthony Green's voice too. As far as falsetto notes uber high, check out The Mars Volta. Cedric hits 5 semitones higher than both of those high notes, in goliath

  • @ClorinasWish anthony greens highest note is an f5 and it was a passing note he doesnt sing that high. most guys can get up to and can sustain g5. g5 and higher is where most male singers have a hard time. if you check out daniel heiman dragonforce audition he can hit d#6 clean and screamed. but he normally uses a g5 as his 'high' note

  • @GrimsonGhost Well keep in mind that Anthony green does not use falsetto. That's all I'm trying to say. Also, I just checked the video in question. Those notes are in falsetto. Again, huge difference, and frankly those notes are good but not impressive in the least for falsetto. Anthony Green does NOT use falsetto and hits F#5 which is much more difficult.

Also, I'm not bashing him, but the DragonForce singer is a joke compared to Anthony Green. They just shouldn't be compared.

  • @ClorinasWish hes not the singer of dragonforce people wanted him to audition. hes the guy that did the infamous "woah oh oh ah ah ah aaaa ha ah ah ah" in running from the shadows by heed he busts some 5s in the regular prechorus all not in falsetto. although in various songs he does both. anthony's highest sustained note is about d5 he has hit f5 but has never attempted to sustain it

  • @GrimsonGhost He sustains an e5 in Get Out. Granted its more of a scream than a musical note. In that song by heed those notes are most definately not in full voice. It has the breathy character and thin sound unique to falsetto.

Regardless both are still great singers, I'm just saying that Anthony Green is a very strong high voice without falsetto.

But yeah there is no way that a full voice would have that timbre in the song you told me to listen too.

  • @ClorinasWish ive met anthony when he was living in that dirtyass house in huntington beach. he's a great singer and i think hes one of the people that brought in the 'high singing' thing for the screamo/emo/hardcore type bands in '02-'03. although he consistently sings 'higher' than most singers he's not necessarily a 'high' singer to me in terms of hitting notes. in my voice class usually guys with lower voice for some reason can sing higher than people with his timbre usually up to g5

  • @GrimsonGhost LUCKY you got to meet him ?!?! :p

  • @ClorinasWish yeah in like 2005-6 my old band was located in huntington beach as well alot of the bands locally pretty much are cool/know each other from whatever. he's pretty chill he was a roommate with one of the guys we recorded songs with. but that was 5 years ago doubt he still lives in that area

  • dude listen for the other high note in micro cuts. It's the same pitch as the showbiz scream. Personally I think the timbre in micro cuts is more hauntingly beautiful, which is why most people cite that song. However, both songs have the same pitch at some point. You just chose the wrong part. Also, he hits higher then BOTH of these songs in live recordings, such as muscle Museum "hey you crazy kids" which is a Bb rather than the Ab showcased here.

  • hahahahaha xD

  • have you listened to shrinking universe?????

  • He is a mothafucker :) Matt is a God

  • G

    G#

    G

    G#

    had to laugh :')

  • @MegaUglyface same! X'D

  • @MegaUglyface I laughed too. G sharp, G, G sharp, G. I feel like saying that at random times now

  • @bogan45 thts not fair XD. tht just proves hes blessed :)

  • When the video alternates between the two notes, I could listen to that for hours.

  • lol chuck norris saw this n said "fuck that..."

  • hey guys go watch the video Matt freakin screams, at 0: 21, he hits the D note..... if you play guitar, that 's the 22nd fret of the high E string.

  • HEY. he is hitting an Ab5 in micro cuts and an A5 in showbiz. i know; i worked for months to push my falsetto that freakin high. now i'm working on the vibrato, though i still dont know how the hell he does it.

  • @bah7001 apparently a doctor examined his vocal chords and they are smaller than average. making high notes easy for him, with little to no training

  • @bah7001 You're right, he hits the same note in Micro Cuts at the very end. 2:54.

  • I'm pretty sure Matthew James Bellamy can make sounds only dogs can hear.

  • @LilyTheAnnoyance you mean bats, right?

  • @InsanityIsNecessary Dogs? What was I thinking?

  • @LilyTheAnnoyance funny, the dog in the yard started to bark when I've watched this video

  • @LilyTheAnnoyance hahahahaha oh geeze

  • This....is....SHOWBIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @norjansonjoe THIS....IS......AAAHHHHHHHH

  • Like a G#6

  • Totally agreed all along lol

  • what about when he does the falsetto in some of the live versions of bliss?! is that even higher?!

  • @xHermanTheGermanx He gets a G in those, I believe. :)

  • Bliss live Rock Am Ring 2010 is a pretty good contender. If I knew how to make a link I would. My bad!

  • so stupid snob

  • haha love the ending "I rest my case"

  • @gregory06

D=< HE GOES HIGHER THAN THAT IN MICRO CUTS!!!!!!

You put the wrong part from Micro Cuts! Gah!

  • @LilyTheAnnoyance It's the same note as in Showbiz. :) You're referring to the bridge of Micro Cuts right? That's an Ab, enharmonic equivalent of G#. So, the same pitch. :)

  • LoLed Replay

  • lol

  • I think the G - G#-thing is funny:)

  • Someone please argue with me about the best Muse song today! That's something good waiting to happen...

  • @PicoRiveraCalifornia MAP OF THE PROBLEMATIQUE NO FUCKING DOUBT.

  • @MrDrProPatrick That's cool. But what do you think of Uprising?

  • @PicoRiveraCalifornia I never said that I dislike any song from Muse....but I just favor some more than others. Uprising's good...no doubt...but MOTP is just so good. The drums added with the voice, and the guitars...it's just enough to drool over...

  • @MrDrProPatrick In my opinion, although MOTP has awesome drums and guitar, Invincible is the best Muse song. There's so much emotion in that song. Just my opinion though :P

  • @muserock2367 NO. JUST STOP EMBARRASSING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!!!! MOTP IS BEST. Naw, just kidding. Like I said, I don't NOT like any Muse songs, just some more than others. And granted, Invincible has some good lyrics, and the extra guitar solo midway thru the song, but I'd have to stick with my opinion on MOTP. The drums are just to drool over, the guitar is amazing...and that chorus...oh, that chorus. It's just so amazing. The piano just adds its own flare to it as well. MOTP...best.

  • @MrDrProPatrick Yeah MOTP does have awesome drums and guitar and a kick ass chorus. The piano is an interesting little flare as well. Piano does wonders for the chorus of Stockholm Syndrome!

  • @PicoRiveraCalifornia ... gotta be sum of their early stuff... sunburn, citizen erased, dead star or my personal number 1 fave muscle museum .. wish they'd go back to their early sound.. so much more awesome :(

  • @xHermanTheGermanx Same here buddy. I LOVE their early stuff.

  • @PicoRiveraCalifornia ... ya they were deffo waay kewler back in the day... i really want their next album to be more rocky.. but knowing bellamy he'll go into the whole synthesizer, techno ting again... :( a bitmore OOS, sowbiz and parts of absolution pleeeeez... uno wat i mean.. :P

  • @xHermanTheGermanx Of course I do. I fucking LOVE Showbiz, OoS and Absolution.

  • Bellamy actually hits a D6 in the video "Matt's freakin' screams& funny faces" at 0:21, a whole 6 semitones higher (half an octave) than the G# in Showbiz!

  • in both micro cuts and showbiz he hits the same note, but he sometimes goes higher when playing showbiz live

  • There is soo much computer in Both songs. haha

  • Listen to the background voice of Megalomania at 3:39. This one is high too

  • i love showbiz forever! hahahahaha and yes i think its sounds higher the showbiz note that the one in micro cuts but i cant challenge the music so haha...i think micro cuts contain it hahaha

  • Its probably cause u have the volume turned down on micro cuts.

  • @3aaas7 lol

  • I read in their biography Shobiz has his highest note recorded... I'm willing to believe that :P

  • @beccashionafish It does, but so does Micro Cuts, how is that hard to get?

  • @sippe555 It's not, but Shobiz did come first, and its stronger, easier to hear in shobiz.

  • @beccashionafish First, the song is called ShoWbiz :p. And second, so? It's still the same note.

  • @sippe555 Don't patronize me for a typo :P Yes, it is, but most people wont get that because its not as loud and to be fair it probably takes a good ear to hear that, and my comment was aimed at the video, as in the two notes heard here, I did have to listen carefully to find the part in Micro Cuts, and even then it does sound more of a computerized sound, so it's easily missed.

  • @beccashionafish You wrote it 3 times, wouldn't call that a typo :P What are you trying to say? "I read in their biography Shobiz has his highest note recorded... I'm willing to believe that :P" was your original statement, what does that have to do with anything of what you just wrote? No one is questioning that Showbiz has the highest note on record. And that it's easy to miss the highest note in Micro Cuts doesn't make it any less wrong to claim that it's not as high as the Showbiz one.

  • @sippe555 Twice actually, and yes, it is possible to make a typo twice, especailly when your dyslexic. And once again, I was listening to the notes in this video, and I didn't pick up the G# in micro cuts when I listened to it first time after listening to this video, but I decided to go with what was wrote in an official biography. I didn't say it was wrong to claim that it wasn't in micro cuts, if fact I've said twice that it is in micro cuts, I simply said it's hard to pick up.

  • @beccashionafish "I read in their biography Shobiz" and twice in the first response to me :) You don't seem to get it. Everyone here agrees that Showbiz has the highest note, no one is questioning that, which is why I wondered why you even bothered to point it out.

  • @sippe555 It's still a simple mistake, forgive me, I wont be so foolish in the future as to think typos are acceptable. No, you don't seem to get it. I wasn't trying to prove everyone wrong, I was simply just adding my view as everyone else had already done, is that wrong? No, it's not.

  • @beccashionafish leave sippe555 ALONE!!!

  • @TwiRobism I'm sorry but um, LOL! Are you serious? Sippe555 was the one who decided to argue with me, when he/she stops arguing with me I'll 'leave sippe555 alone'. And surely, he/she can fight her/his own battles.

  • @beccashionafish Don't mind her. She's a confirmed Muse hater because Matt's voice destroys Pattisons and she is an obvious Pattison lover. Unfortunately she is serious ... seriously in need of help.

  • @goodsongs189 You my friend, I like :P

  • highest note is in megalomania in the backing vocals

  • @NixonNUFC No it isn't.

  • I lol'd.

  • Apparently matt's highest note live is A#5 in the Hey you crazy kids performance here /watch?v=-1VVB-zBkkk Dunno if i'm right or not but that's what it said on MuseWiki

  • It would be beneficial for us non-music note aficionados to know what is "high" and "low." .... However, sound wise, yes it is pretty d*mn high!

  • i read something that said his higest note was in plug in baby and also his lowest note

  • @BenDaSk8er His highest note is A#5, his highest note on record is G#5 in Micro Cuts and Showbiz, his lowest is in MK Ultra and Spiral Static(A2), Plug in Baby isn't close in neither of them :)

  • MATTT BELLLAMMYYYY <3

  • For a minute there i thought it was a joke.. like a video with no audio as if it is "Too high in frequency"

  • thats an interesting point.

  • Matt has been known to hit A5 at live gigs.

    Which is really fucking high.

  • showbiz is higher xD

  • What about falling down, close to the end he gets a pretty high note :)

  • @PROVISM Well, if he is falling down from really high, I believe he might scream with a really high note ;)

    Just kidding

  • I think in Showbiz it just sounds higher because it's more powerful.

  • @LtdMassacre ... no it is actually higher

  • Let's not forget HEY YOU CRAZY KIDS! He does an A there

  • In the studio he hit higher apparently, forgot where i heard that
