Does anyone have the version played by Alicia de Larrocha and the English Chamber Orchestra? Would really love to hear it because it's one of the best slow interpretations.
First theme from Exposition I (Orchestral Exposition) ->Second theme from Exposition I->Solo Interlude->First theme from Exposition II (Solo Exposition)->Transition->Second theme from Exposition II
I am surprised to see that even on these links on youtube ppl have something negative and irrelevant to say lol people are quite interesting, so much potential and yet we remain so primitive and plane.
Ok, how about this - the concerto begins with tutti (orchestra) with a chord, then goes on to a series of slurs which last the first page. Then, the soloist starts from a D note third position. Then the second note is a third finger C still in third position on the e string. Then an e note. After a few notes a tremolo. That part is playes in andante. Then it is played in allegro. That enough? You should think more before criticizing.
i think that they mean its not a song in the sence that songs must have words. it would be more correct of you to say that you can play this piece. thats all.
Did I say anything about your mother or your country? How old are you, five? Jesus Christ, and I thought Americans were rude. At least get to take pleasure in the fact that I will be the intelligent person in the argument while you will only wallow in your stupidity. Keep the insults coming kid, I need a good laugh. :)
My good man, drawing such a conclusion is wrong, to say the least! Not all Americans are rude, it's a terrible thing to think such.
I'm American, and I'm not rude at all. Nor am I fat or ugly. Can we not get over such minor details, like one's nationality? Shall we degrade ourselves and make such stereo-typical statements as that?
We're all above that, and have the ability to rationalize. Please, rethink your opinions!
@umathefurry Do not waste your comments on those who CHOOSE to be ignorent, I know that not all Americans are uneducated, ignorant, arrogant...what some ppl seem to fail to understand is that ppl are merely a reflection just a by-product by what the estublishment wants to create, as ppl r easier to manage that way.those who judge are simply weak n r lookin for quick fix of strength to STABILIZE their own lives.
@umathefurry hello, im from new zealand and i think that statement is spot on!!!! im not much for your govornment but to say things about the people like yourself and many others is very incorrect. im living in australia the fat capital of the world and there is plenty of lovely people. look frward to coming to america, i wana see the hover dam!! the statue of liberty and niagra falls. you have a beautiful country outside concrete grids of your citys, bless you and bless america
I can play my Violin a little bit I am no where near great..(I've been told I am good etc and it's the little boost I need) I tend to play my own from memory. but I do enjoy playing (trying to anyway) Mozart. This is so free-flowing it's fantastic! Pure gemius and it sounds beautifel.
I started to learn how to play violin wen i was in primary school but after a few months i gave up.......................urgh,....now i think about it, its like such a shame that i didnt keep on learning it....
Aaaww it is a shame. I'm 17 and have started to play the violin for a few months and wish I had started earlier. You should pick it up again. I definitely won't give it up!
whose the random dude in green that keeps popping up every few chords? lol that's just funny stuff. excellent piece. Mozart IS the greatest composer in the history of classical music. No one's been able to convince me otherwise. thanks for this!
Violin students get to play this concerto in Suzuki Book 9. I am on book 7, I cannot wait. Roar, I must use my dilettante skills to hurry up on the violin.
This is a fabulous piece. If I have to choose a Mozart concerto, this or his third would be my favorite. (Not necessarily this movement, though I do love this section.) And people, don't get so worked up over people calling it "music," because no matter how beautiful the piece is, it's still music. Maybe you should be mad at people who call crappy songs, "music." Like aiming your anger at those who use the term "music" too often.
These are my favourite concertos too. The 5th concerto, in his last part is for me the most extraordinary music ever heard, I listen to it every morning... And the 3rd concerto is the first violin cocerto I ever listened from the beginnig to the end as it was my first LP with classic music...

I love to play Mozart but I do think in my option that a lot of this stuff sounds the same, same with a lot of the classical era music. It's usually child like and I can see little kids playing with toys and stuff. I much Prefer the Baroque style music it's different with each composer, Vivaldi and Bach don't sound the same, but I think Mozart and Hoffmeister( I think that is how you spell it) but that is my opinion, and I'm 100% sure I will get flamed by some one for saying this.
I totally agree with you but I love the classical era music call my ear for classical music childish but i love it. oh and someone will most definately flame you for saying such a thing. lol
I've been trying to hide it but since I was a kid certatin music composed by Mozart has mad me weep and sometimes smile with life. I don't know why. I was kind of hoping if that is natural or am I just a freak show.
P.S. I'll only let in opinions and etc. from creditable person(s) determined from previous comments. =)
Lol. firebreathone = moron + naive. Sorry but you just make me laugh. Derived from your comment, I figure you're a kid ( i.e. 10 to 15 years of age ), if not, I truly pitty you.

The style of playing is mellow and nicely suited for this movement. Sounds like Isaac Stern. Is it ?
