If the Concert referred to in the earlier comment was in Cleveland in April 1, this yr...I had the great fortune to attend. If i recall tickets came out Sept 10th.2010. It was a beautiful performance, and I am 61, fell in love with him at age 12, and I enjoy him more now than ever. He is genuine, gracious, and so humble. His voice reflect not age but greater depth, emotion, and the pure joy of his singing. I hope you have a chance to see him. I was truly blessed. God bless.

No one does this better. Mathis has captured this song and made it his own. He uses the best musicians and arrangers in the business, and not only is he the best at what he does as a singer, he is a lovely person.

I agree 110% - went to a couple of his concerts way back in the 1970ties; he sounded better live - just stood on stage and sang for a couple of hours, never missed a note - perfect!
I was lucky to attend Johnny's Las Vegas concert in the 70's . He was dressed in an all white tuxedo which emphasized the elegance of the lyrics and the artist . Everything was very professional . We were all there for his legendary voice and his greatest hits. I have a collection of his albums but listening to him live is something special .Thanks
