hi, very interesting video, I liked comments that made it more personal and shortened the distance to them.... the user lucking1 said here that this video is sad, and although I agree with him/her, I still cannot forget one of the people saying "I couldn't be happier" - which may be that we tend to pity them without thinking about their inner life and atitude to the rest of the world - I mean, we want more money, friends, better cars and cellphones and we get lost somewhere, while they ....
Ahh! This almost made me cry. The folk we pass by, some are actually sound as. When I fell 20feet on my face some homeless lads (apparently, I was out cold) tried to get someone to stop to boworrow a mobile to get an ambulance but everyone assumed they were going to get robbed and walked on. An ambulance did eventually come. Then the homeless man who found me stopped me in the street a week or so later, recognised me and my messed up face and gave me back my camera, a decent and kind man.
Hello Sam. I really liked this video about those that we often look past. I noticed that every photograph had a wall behind the person being photographed. I think this was done purposefully, and I do think that it added to the message that you were trying to get across in your video. I think your book will be outstanding and I hope it touches a good number of people.
thanks for your comment. i do like your stuff! the photos are great and i like how you've interlaced it with their words... turns those you've captured into real people - with dreams and emotions. it's easy for the world to forget that those in these situations are real, you know?
... (2) do not thing about the world in such commercial values and thus may live sometimes happier life than we do.
Of course, by that I do not deny the need to help them, I just want to say that there are some valuable lessons we might learn from these people.
sorry for that long comment :)
