Chris Drury was a flash in the pan in Buffalo, but he is not a hall of famer by any standards and I would not want him back.

Drury has been in New York for 4 seasons now, and he has been inconsistent all 4 years. He was a hero in Buffalo, and I was as devistated as everyone else when he left, but honestly, looking back, Briere was the bigger loss. Drury has not been a star in New York and has not helped them as much as we thought he would.

It wasn't the semifinals it was the conference semifinals against Ottawa in '06 (the quarterfinals). They lost in the semifinals to Carolina that year.

Why am I like the only person that remembers Derek Plante's goal striaght from the face-off. He didn't pull it back to a teammate. He shot the puck off the face off. It was the same game as that slapper I believe, the face off goal tied it up.

Flyers fan here but HUGE NHL FAN!! The Jason Pominville goal call by Rick J. to eliminate the Senators was perfect and i thought it was meant for me. Because I truly remember going into the playoffs thinking that Buffalo had a chance but i didnt think they would get by Ottawa. No no and no. The sabres wanted Drury over Briere because of his leadership skills, he was going to stay in Buffalo but the Rangers called and he signed with his childhood team. Also Drury said that the sabres had a contract that he signed that would keep him in Buffalo for annother 3 or 4 years but the dumb Sabres never finalized the contract.

what are you talking about? 9 wasn to force game 7 it was to put them up 3-0. and if the yotes were to move to hamilton, which is very very unlikly at this point toronto would most likly be the team to move, cuz they hav a past in west conference, and yes they did sweep the yotes but only in 2 games while we still got 4 points off the thrashers in 4 very unlucky games i would rather see the sabres play the yotes.

#9 was when buffalo beat ottawa in game 6 to force game 7.
and if the pheinox cyotes comes to the east then maybe atlanta would be the new west team. and the sabres have swept pheinox this year and buffalo did not win a game against atlanta so this will be a great thing for us.

#9 was when we went up 3-0 in the 05-06 conference semis vs ott. #8 was to force game 7 in the 05-06 conference finals vs car.
The Ottawa series only went 5 games.

I like the video but Drury is #1, no question. The #1 goal (Max's goal) shouldn't even be in the top 10, it was a meaningless regular season goal, you have to be kidding?...better than May Day, better than Drury's tying goal with 7.7 left, better than Derek Plante Game 7 OT?
If you were gonna put a Max goal in put the one he scored in OT against the Rangers, same game as Drury.

The reason why we are not in the playoff is not because of Lindy Ruff, but because of Darcy Regier. We would still Briere and Drury if Darcy Regier would have offered them a contract.
Out of this draft we better get some players that are as good or better than vanek briere, and drury. Thats all i have to say.

I would just like to say i agree that darcy should part ways with the organization but lindy should stay, btw he could only aford to keep one of them so he decided briere, but he wanted too much and it was too late to fall onto chris, but they were able to sign vanek, i know most people forget he was a free agent also. and wen it comes to the draft the sabres best bet would be defencemen of the windsor spit fires ryan ellis

Ya i cant wait till the draft, a lot og good first rounders this year. I think and hope the sabres will get ryan ellis. he is a great offensive defence man to maybe replace campbell in a few years and he ranked 13th overall, the sabres pick!

Game 3, Stanley Cup Semi-finals in '06. That goal in OT basically iced the series for the sabres as it gave them a 3-0 series lead against the heavily favored Sens... that's why it's on here.
I wouldn't call these goals best of "all time"... maybe best of the late '90s-'00s...

It wasn't the semifinals it was the conference semifinals against Ottawa in '06 (the quarterfinals). They lost in the semifinals to Carolina that year.

all of these goals are pretty nice, i dont agree with number 1 being number 1 considering the sabres were already up by like 5-2 so it didnt mean as much as like the drury goal or the pominville goal but overall the video was nice

Why am I like the only person that remembers Derek Plante's goal striaght from the face-off. He didn't pull it back to a teammate. He shot the puck off the face off. It was the same game as that slapper I believe, the face off goal tied it up.

I was at the game (3rd ranked goal) where Drury scored the game-tying goal with 7.1 seconds left (and then Afinogenov scored the winner in overtime). I've never heard an arena louder than that. My ears were ringing for the rest of the night, but I didn't even care. Go 'bres!

Flyers fan here but HUGE NHL FAN!! The Jason Pominville goal call by Rick J. to eliminate the Senators was perfect and i thought it was meant for me. Because I truly remember going into the playoffs thinking that Buffalo had a chance but i didnt think they would get by Ottawa. When he scored that goal and Rick was like "Now, do you believe, Now do you believe?" I was like to myself, "Yes i do" LOL....I really thought they would win it all after that moment. good series vs Canes though. GO FLYERS
