umm yea that first stunt sequence is DEF not easy. for one yea you need to know how to do all that, but you also need to be double jointed or none of it will work. its not simple shit!

not trying to sound rude but, the part that everyong thinks is amazing, ( 0:42 ) is easy, you can do it if you know how to do a heel stretch, bow & arrow, scorpion, nd if you know how to bend your leg, so if you have those things down then it should be easy, but doing them the way they did will make it seem more difficult.

WOW...y'all are awesome! My daughter cheers for an elite squad in SC, so it takes a lot for me to be impressed. I've watched a lot of state competitions and haven't seen many that touch the athleticism and difficulty of SC squads, but I apparently did not have to look much farther than our Georgia neighbors. GREAT JOB, GIRLS!!!

The crowd is cheering so loud you can hardly hear it, but there is actually a long cheer in there. It's near the beginning of the routine. They do jumps and a pyramid during it. It starts out, "The magic of Northgate, it's the real thing..." (their theme was obviously "magic," love the rabbit popping out of the hat stunt) and then it's hard to hear because of the crowd, and it ends at the top of the pyramid with a crowd part: N - H - S! Great job ladies!

@hud017 Nope. Sorry. I like Ola and all, but they did not have "IT" that day. They were clearly beaten by Northgate, nearly 20 points, and five can be a lot of points at State. You could feel the energy in the room when Northgate performed. When Ola dropped that stunt (and it wasn't even a deduction), their fans went quiet and that probably hurt their momentum. good team though. Good luck next year.

I love Northgate! Not only are these girls amazing cheerleaders, they are very nice and friendly. My team competed at their competition on Halloween this year. So fun! And the girls who lead teams around really made an effort to learn names and be nice! Congrats on being STATE CHAMPS, Northgate! :)

Wow! I keep watching it and it never gets old. This is an amazing routine. Stunts are wicked-sick-bad-a_ _!! You people pay such attention to detail. Other teams just move from place to place on the mat. It looks like you even have sychronized blinking. Congratulations on an amazing job. I have been going to watch state competitions since the mid 90s and this was absolutely THE most exciting routine I have experience had the pleasure to watch.
