  • Sounds like the Intro of There Will Be Blood!!! LOL Sweet vid man thanks for uploading. I'm looking to buy one of these bad boys meself and looks like this one might be it.

  • question: what is the native contrast ratio of this LED monitor? i see that it has a pretty large MEGA Dynamic Contrast Ratio but i'd really like to know the native. am really hoping it's higher than 1000:1.... Thanks!

  • @Jasparrr

hi. the native is 1000:1 ("native contrast" and "typical contrast" are the same). I have noticed the monitor displays better than other 1000:1 monitors because of its dynamic ratio, however this is ONLY seen during gaming and movies.

In your case, i would still recommend this monitor but i suggest shopping around a bit more. good luck finding your monitor, cheers

  • @Thinkfast2008 well i do a lot of gaming so that's what i wanted a high contrast ratio for but are you saying that the dynamic ratio is what you see when gaming?

  • @Jasparrr

hi. sorry i mis-worded my answer slightly last night.

The answer to your question is, im not exactly sure. Im not sure if it's only the dynamic ratio you see, or both the native and dynamic working together when gaming

To help you though, during gaming, ive noticed better color contrast compared to other 1000:1 monitors(most likely because of its higher dynamic ratio).

I tried to keep this answer short but couldn't, if you need more info feel free to PM me. cheers

  • @Thinkfast2008 okay, cool. thanks again. one last question: do you know if it's 60 or 120Hz refresh rate?

  • @Jasparrr

hi, 60-75Hz (if you have a notebook, it will only go to 60). cheers

  • even though that the speakers are crap could i still plug in other ones or headphones?? cheers!!

  • @V4NN1LLANOV4

hi. yeah, you can also plug both(other speakers and headphones) directly in to the monitor at the same time. cheers

edit: there is no microphone port, but you can plug that in to your PC/console anyways. cheers

  • @Thinkfast2008 Thanks for that!!1 so i can use this screen for my Xbox 360 slim and plug in speakers or Headphones but no microphone in port!! and yeah i can just get the mic from the xbox anyway!!! C: cheers!!!!

  • Dude... You REALLY need a new screwdriver. You should try to ebay your old one because it looks like its off the Titanic. Might be worth something.

  • @lowredrt

    lol. thanks for the recommendation

  • Great review I just ordered this monitor from amazon and I'm really excited for it.

  • @ajijohatch

cool. if you have further questions or feedback on the monitor feel free to chuck it in the comments. enjoy the monitor, cheers

  • Good review, I have the same monitor, had it since early December, would definitely recommend it too.

Although I do get a bit of ghosting on Operation Flashpoint and Skyrim on the Xbox

  • @iAreInvisibleMan

hi. if i could help, xbox ghosting is due to low-quality vga/hdmi cables. Google search does not find any problems relating ghosting(of any console) to this monitor(correct me if i'm wrong). your feedback on xbox is still very much appreciated, cheers.

  • @Thinkfast2008 just wondering how i will connect this to my pc if my i dont have HDMI? why this dont have DVI?

  • @Luisml8

    hi.

It will connect by "VGA" instead(my box came with a free VGA cable). This don't have DVI because hdmi technology has replaced dvi.

i have put a picture in this videos description for you. If you find that on your PC, it can use this monitor. cheers

  • Hey, Great Video!

I was just wondering if you can plug 2 HDMIs in at the same time because it looks like the ports are spaced quite close together.

  • @hmujoo

hi. the 2 hdmi's can be plugged at the same time easily. i have put pictures in this videos description for you(they show how much space when everything is plugged in). cheers

  • i liked ur skipping annotations. coool

  • @MyMrBlackBerry

    cheers

  • Have you noticed any input lag or ghosting?

  • @Aer0R0zeS

definitely no input lag or ghosting. so far ive tested counter-strike source, battlefield 3 and starcraft 2. cheers

  • норм а у меня на нем засветы

  • @MrStarkiller2011

hi. не говорить России. Благодарю за комментарий

  • hi. does this monitor have 4 holes at the back for mounting it on a holder (moveable arm holder for the wall)? ...maybe that shiny plastic plate above connectors can be removed..

(...how spaced apart are the holes?)

    Thanks

  • @mixcev

hi. this monitor is not mountable as there are no holes/mounting points. i just tripple-checked the back, box and online manual to confirm(i added pictures to the videos description if you want to see the back). also, the panel is not actually a panel, but rather part of the monitors body, but etched out for design purposes. in your case, i wouldn't recommend this monitor. cheers

  • @Thinkfast2008

That's a big help, thank you!

    Cheers

  • Can you tell the difference between this monitor and IPS panel monitor by viewing from different angle? Because I'm thinking to buy this one or ASUS 23" IPS. Thanks for uploading this review, it's awesome.

  • @evo666hk

Hi. i cant tell the difference. The only reason to buy an ips over this monitor(uses active-matrix panel) is its slightly better viewing angle. Conclusion: if you need the extra 8 degrees viewing angle buy the IPS. else, i recommend this monitor. cheers

  • I play ps3 games on this monitor like infamous , need for speed, and etc... let me tell its amazing!! I would recommend speakers connect to monitor for the sound! Overall this monitor is brilliant

  • @coolshariq

your feedback for this monitors use with PS3 is appreciated a lot. cheers

  • Would you recommend this monitor for gaming on pc and consoles, and is the response time (2ms) still the same when it is being plugged to a Ps3/Xbox360 ?

  • @thehill251

i recommend it for pc gaming(good display, very fast response time. tested with starcraft 2 and battlefield 3(PC), however i havent tested this with consoles. hmm, I am unsure if the response time is consistently 2ms for consoles. if it helps, the monitor connected to my PC measures at exactly 2ms, cheers

  • @Thinkfast2008 Okay :) Thanks alot.

  • Nice review! Im just curious, have you tried to calibrate your monitor for better color quality?

  • @supadupamadafaka

hi. out of the box, the settings are good for general use(surfing net, movies etc). However i calibrated the brightness and contrast using online tools and the monitors menu. This monitor achieved SLIGHTLY better color quality... but for the average user i don't think they would notice the difference. cheers

  • Did you get an HDMI Cable in the box? What's the brand of that cable and its length?

  • @shakskillful

length = 170.5cm(67.13 inches). this does NOT include the metal ends

    brand = "Hotron Precision"

*its a category 2(high speed), male to male hdmi cable

*this monitor was bought in australia, box comes with only 1 vga and hdmi cable

*ive added pictures of my cable to the video description above, cheers

  • Is the text fuzzy at all with HDMI?

  • @DopeBoyMagic66

with ATI scaling, slightly. the text is still easily readable.

its not really noticable due to its large screen and high resolution(im using 1920x1080).

PS: ive just added images to the "video description" above, which shows how fuzzy the text is. cheers

  • Also, under monitor properties it says Adjustments. You scale your monitor there. The slider scaling option tends to make the image blurry. The other Adjustment option gives you a custom resolution to use with your monitor.

Also, you should probably download the newest drivers for your graphics card.

Just go to AMDs website to find the drivers.

  • Awesome review man! Book stand view looks more cool, still debating if I should get 24 or 27", I will connecting mac pro and ps3!

  • @coolshariq hi. if you plan on connecting both with hdmi at the same time, its important to note that it comes with only 1 hdmi cable(so you'll have to buy another hdmi cable).

*the 27 inch also has "mixed" customer reviews(opposed to the 24 inch, which has great customer reviews), and the 27 inch is almost much more expensive.

*however 27 inch is a much larger size and therefore more entertaining

your decision will depend upon how big your wallet is. cheers

  • @Thinkfast2008

Thanks thinkfast2008 , I went go ahead with 24" your the man ;) , cheers!

  • @coolshariq The 24" is on sale for 150$ even at Tigerdirect today only.

  • @Gollsodia

Thanks! I did order mins today tigersdirect can't wait to get it soon! lol

    thanks again
