nice video man ..thnx for uploading . i'm planning to open a dairy farm of my own. family owned to be precise . could u guide us ? plz give me ur email for contact if u dont mind . Thnx :)
It's good to see that with the border being closed (US/Canada) for a number of years there are still Canadian dairies operating & while it seems everywhere you turn, especially here in IN that the large dairies are established or are popping up, the small
dairies still outnumber the large ones. Very nice video, nice set up for a tie stall barn.
How many cows are on your farm? Not to sound negative or anything, but your farm seems 'primitive', or a more friendly way of saying if I suppose is family-ish. Which I think is awesome! Your cows look very very healthy and happy! I work on a 4800+(milking cows, plus around 7000 calf/heifers) dairy, most of our cows look well, but nothing compared to yours! In all, nice farm, and looks like it would be fun to work there!
Don't have to be negative. I agree family farms are nicer and the cows are happier, but I guarantee you the 4800(5,000 now) milking 'factory' dairy I work on pulls more income in a month then a family farm ever will.
yeah, unless the family farm is in the cattle show biz. and we are and we make income on heifers, that are yearlings making 15,000$. but yes factory farms do make more income but its not really about that its about loving farming, loving the animals, and than alone is good enof for me, but Good video,
There's more to food than income! At some point we should produce food without ruining everything around us. Polluted water, soil, and air, from all the poisons being doused on the crops and cows. There is no future for concentration camp ag and the sickness, cancer, and disease they promote. Cows belong on grass. How long will it take to get back to common sense? How many people and animals have to suffer for greed? Organic Grass fed is the future!! The merchants of the Earth are done.
@ckfarm but who says those cows dont get to roam in a field as well as site in the barn..most of the farms are like that here..time out side time inside and come and go as they please
