@henrylee0123 You should hear the original band "ZONE" sing it, its awesome! And the band Scandal made their own version which is also awesome. I suggest you first search "Zone - Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ " That would be the original Band who sings it. Then search "Scandal - secret base" I love both versions.
Yeah the original version is good, but if we are talking about the best cover then AnoHana's version is the one. The reason is that this song sounds better if the melody is slow.
You can hear it in those other versions, the rhythm is too fast, it doesn't capture the sentimentality if they sing it so fast. AnoHana's version slow things down so that is why it is so good.
@neofreed0m First of all Anohana is an anime cartoon not a person, 2ndly the tempo of the song played on the Anohana cartoon is pretty much the same speed as the original, only the original sounds much better. 3rdly you are wrong the song actually sounds better the way it was created not slower, as a matter of fact I actually COVERED this song with the beat much faster then the original and it sounds great! The single sold about 744,000 copies on Japanese Oricon charts, and used as the ending theme to the anime Kyō no Go no Ni and Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.
There is only 1 original "secret Base" sung by the original artist "ZONE" and NO other band except for "SCANDAL" was able to cover the song as good as the original! I rest my case!!
