Music artists do the same thing with songs - but they have the advantage of being able to play the same songs over and over and it works every time. Comedians do the same thing, but less frequently, because a joke only works once or twice on an audience. Which is why they change their act more frequently.

@jonnd272 I used to dislike comedians who repeated there jokes. But nearly all of them do it. I set myself a challenge a while ago to come up with 10 mins of "killer" material. It took me around a month and made me realise how near impossible it would be for comedians to bring brand new material to every different audience. When it's a different live audience every time you got much more mileage out of your jokes. Do the joke on TV and you can never really do it again.

I love this fella and "going "out out" is one of my favourite gags. If you are into 80s then you get this bloke. You Tube can only show what they can from what has been shown on TV. Secondly, this bloke (unless I am wrong) is a relatively new comedian on the circuit so there isnt that much historical recorded material to show. When I say new I mean a newly being promoted.
