hey everyone you should all go listen to a band called The Sword, they are my favorite of all time, they were influenced by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin and are probally one of the only bands around in this century that also sound like an oldschool heavy metal band, both The Sword and Wolf are my all time favorites but i just thought some of you guys should check out The Sword because they are really good and they sound a bit like Sabbath to, check out "Winter's Wolves" the video is on here.

This is true old school metal. It is jarring and atonal, just like early Sabbath, even some Ozzy influence in the vocals there. I can hear a lot of Judas Priest as well, and the structure and complexity reminds me of Death. The vocals are excellent, though - they are reminiscent of something great, but something entirely their own. This is excellent musicianship and an excellent song; if we keep getting more new bands like this, I will believe that there is hope yet for metal.

OMG I hate when I finally find good bands online and they should be way bigger than they are especially here in the US where most of the music sucks -.-* if I hear anymore childish repeative lyrics or screaming and people that can't sing I am going to cry. I hate monotone singers I like range and talent :) and yes this band reminds me of ozzy and good old rock /metal.

I like it better when the bands are less know about. I do not care for the corporate sell out bands that get airplay. It seems like once a band signs to a big label they just suck the soul out of them replace it with cash that gives them giant egos. I guess I just prefer it when a band is still hungry for success because the passion come through in the music.

oh my god, i have been so excited by the resurgance of trad metal...but am incredibly pissed that it's almost completely concentrated in Europe!!! at the very least, Boston, punk town that it is, never gets this kind of music, but I love bands like these guys, Stukka Squadron, DestroyDestroyDestroy and other NWOTM bands...this is INSANE!!!

Great song... this was my introduction to Wolf a couple years ago... the very next day I saw the Evil Star album at a local music store... popped it in my CD player and they became one of my favorites... Transylvanian Twilight/Devil Moon is amazing!! Pick this album up!
