@mitoria33 No, if you use a black base you will have to paint the flames individually. With my technique I'm actually painting the background which gives me the shapes of the flames. Then all I have to do is add detail with red :)

@madameliterature You can definitely use nail polish, but I find it easier to use acrylic. The wear is about as long as normal nail polish with a good top coat. I wore this for about 2 weeks before my nails grew out lol

@SerenaLolly The design was actually inspired by Katniss Everdeen from the hunger game series, in the book they describe how her stylist Cinna puts flames on her nails to emphasize the whole "girl who was on fire" look ^__^ I can't wait to see how they portray this in the movie!
