  • Wow !!! next week its my turn !!!!

  • Went out for pizza after I had my gallbladder removed. Hellz yeah.

  • very nice vdo

  • soo.. is the gallbladder sandwiched between the liver and stomach? like the computer model in in the first few seconds?

  • ouch..im 15 yrs old and i have to do this on wednesday..im soo nervous xD i got 20 mm gallstone in my gallbladder

  • I believe i saw this clip on "The Doctors"

  • I had this done 10-222010 & The after pain was not fun lol :p

  • I have done it 3 years back and I was in hospital for 3 days

  • im gonna have this surgery on friday D:

  • Damn, I've gotta get this done....argh. :[

  • buen video!!

  • I'm 13 and find all these videos intriguing

  • Can the pain be felt on the left side if the stones are pushing rightwards?

  • @isabelle2436 That's a bit unlikely, the cause for left side pain may be something else than a dysfunctional gallbladder, if you're talking about the same region where the gallbaldder is positioned.

  • i think its female,fatty,forty and fertile.......not family histry.

  • got to have this surgery tomorrow, at least now i have more of an idea, cheers :)

  • I had to stay for like 5 days i was in soooooooooooooo much pain!

but than again i was only 16 so i had less of a pain tolerance >.<

  • Pourquoi devrais-je prendre l'amertume du laboratoire après l'opération

    -----------------------------------------------

Why should I take the bitterness of the laboratory after the operation

    ----------------------------------------------

لماذا يجب اخذ المرارة للمختبر بعد العملية

  • what happens to the clips?

  • I have just had this surgery and found this to be very helpful in understanding the operation.

  • The only thing I would like to add to this fantastic information is that after surgery there is very little pain in the area which has been operated but alot of pain and discomfort in the upper chest and shoulders as a result of the insertion of the co2. This usually passes within 48 hours of the procedure.

  • Upcycle: women are more prone to gall stones especially during pregnancy an while on hormonal birth control... So the obvious link would be the hormone factor.

  • thank you!! i'm having this surgery and was veeery nervous!!

  • thank you :)

  • i was off the operating table and walking out of the hospital 20 minutes later, more like staggering but i went home right after.

  • Is this what happens when a kidney stone can't pass on its own?? sorry If I sound ignorant I'm a little confussed!

  • @angie8826 - when you can't pass a kidney stone, they go in through the urethra with a tool that uses tiny. short, sharp vibrations to break up the stone, so that it can pass. Or sometimes they'll put in a stent, a plastic tube to hold the ureter (tube from kidney down to bladder) open, until the stone passes. They can also use a method they term PCNL, where they put you in a bath (I believe) that uses shockwaves (not like electric shocks though!) through the body, to break up the stones.

  • thanks for posting this

  • does removing that part have any side effects?? its pretty scary

  • @easternimports Some people get IBS afterwards but that's better than dealing with the pain itself!

  • @Bratiskim yeah, I have the IBS but it's better than dying.

  • @easternimports I had mine out, it depends on the person. My stomach messes up for time to time, and I can't eat fat. But it's better than eating nothing and dying :)

  • I just found out from my doctor (one of the top doctors in the world) that I can't eat a lot of oil from now on, or fat. I had to cut meat from my diet, which makes sense because I can't digest fat like I used to. Please let people know out there that we are prone to heart disease now if we continue to eat fat, as we don't digest it. I was told I could get heart disease within 3 years if I continues to eat oily foods. I should have rid the gallstones naturally, and yes, it can be done!

  • it seems that a less invasive procedure wud be to come up with a technique to dissolve the gall stones. Perhaps a focuses ultrasound and or injection of a dissolving agent onto/into the gallstones?

  • @upcycle - they would just form again. you don't need it, so take it out I say! Along with tonsils and appendixes!

  • now I know what they did to me haha that's why my throat was so hurting after the surgery.

  • I am intrigued by the human body... even though i couldn't stand the thought of EVER cutting through someone or somethings skin i cant even squash bugs, do to the fact of the crunching sound ;[

  • @lauren1344 - people don't make crunching sounds...unless it's their bones your breaking!!

  • Amazing

  • The gallbladder is a storage area for bile. It is not produced there, only stored and concentrated, until needed by the digestive system. You are fine without it.

  • You're liver takes up the slack from your gallbladder, therefore you do not have to have it. :)

  • I am x-ray student and on my OR rotation, i got to see one of these. It was amazing haha, there were 3 52 high definition television in the rooms showing the laparoscopic view.

  • I would like to know where I could find this kind of animation and if it could be in portuguese... I'm from São Paulo, Brazil

  • Don't let them take your gall bladder unless it's absolutely necessary.

  • The gall bladder is'nt necessary,

  • bile flows through it lol

  • Then why is it removed with no problem then??? The bile duct can be attached straight to the intestine and perform the same way as if you had a whole gall bladder

  • ya, i know, but it also filters bile, so u shid have a synthetic bile filter in there lol

  • I kno, you "SHID," but thousands of people get rid of em everyday with no problem LOL

  • yah lol

  • exactly

  • how can the body digest food properly once the gall bladder is remove?

  • is better calling the gall-bladder in the latin one such chystifellea, vesicafellea,

  • very cool.... i'm just getting into internal medicine in college so these videos are great. nice one.

  • Cool

  • So where does all that waste that goes into your bladder move to then??

    It cant just pour out..

  • the bladder connects directly to the urethra, which is a hollow tube (kind of like a hose) from which the urine then leaves the body.

  • The gall bladder is not the bladder, it is a different organ. The similar names is deceiving, I agree, but they're different organs that do different things.

You can google "gall bladder" and "bladder" for images if you want to learn more.

  • .... ok .....

  • My belly button hurts now...

  • laparoscopic procedures are common for several surgical procedures, it's an amazing technique and leaves almost no scars.

  • why couldn't you just use a male's body?

  • )))))))

  • because the female body is nicer :)

  • Because women are 3x more likely to have this procedure than men 8^)...

  • @nucleusanimation interesting. I am curious of any correlation women to gallstones. or these particular women.

  • because women are more likely to have gallstone or problems with the gall bladder. (Its because to the female hormones)

  • @queenfanforever Why? What's the difference? It's an educational tutorial.

  • @queenfanforever - always remeber the 4 F's which are the risk factors of this procedure.. female, fat, forty, and family history

  • dear God

  • laparoscopically was a butter choice

  • butter... thats just crazy talk!

  • I forgot why i clicked this video

    hmm.........

  • but... but... don't you need that thing for something?

  • It stores and concentrates bile, but it doesn't create it. The liver does :)

  • I had gallstones. So I drank a pint of lemon juice followed by a liter of olive oil (ugh!) The next morning, I was a new man. No further symptoms.

  • u drunk a whole liter of olive oil :D :D lool glad that ur symptoms are relieved . you still need to check with ur doctor though, cause loss of symptoms doesn't always mean loss of disease. Best wishes

  • I feel ready to perform one myself now! XD

  • lol. Yea, I just saw some fancy pictures on my MCAT prep book, I think I now know how to do it too....

Cut off the gall bladder & remove it? that doesn't seem so hard now, does it? lol

  • Lol!! punch holes, blow air in it, stuck your tools in there, find the thing cut it and remove it! easy as pie! :P

  • rof lmao!!! i think i wanna do one tooo!!!! who is willing to be my patient??? lol

  • hmmm....how much would being your experimental patient pay???

  • $1.00 lol

  • wowz

  • i am actually really freaked out by this videos yet they r soo aducting :P

  • Amazing. We need more of this video to educate people.
