I got news for you guys - when the ice shelf of greenland melts into the sea and the atlantic conveyer stops blowing the warm air over europe ... you will freeze regardless of being english, scottish, welsh, irish, french, german, polish, etc etc etc nationalism is too small for the world we live in - wake up people.
hey david craig! what are you doing with my name EH! hope your doing right by it! where in the world are you? i'm in canada i found myself here searching for inkspots stuff thanks to fallout 3.
no, he is somewhat right, the sudden switch from appeasement to war caused no end of distress, we either should have ended it in 1936, or not gone in at all.
I don't think the Japanese needed to drop that many bombs in Pearl Harbour, the planes were pretty packed in Pearl Harbour. they were pretty caught by surprise.
In all, Britain lost over 70,000 civilians during World War 2. My own village containg about 7,000 people lost 3 people during a bomb attack in which 3 bombs fell. The village saw over 100 men leave during WW1 and WW2.
But the British morale never broke and operation Sealion failed. Our true British spirit prevailed and our pride of being British kept up for 6 years.
London was bombed every day ot night for 3 months once. Imagine living through that.
I should actually research it but didnt the Jap's actually invade Australia? It wasnt a successfull one...f**k it im going to double check, you do it, its and order ;)
and ireland. but ye i know, i hate it when people use britain in one sentance and england in the next when talking about war. was our sacrifice for nothing?
i agree totally ... this doesnt just apply to history - in sport if a team is winning it's "english", if it's losing it's "british" watch out for that one.
The English band Pink Floyd has an album called "The Wall" which contains a song called "Vera Lynn\Bring the Boys Back Home", and contains the line "Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?"

Could the lady performing be Fiona Harrison? I've seen her perform once at the Didcot Railway Centre's Victorian Extravaganza one year.

I use to listen to PINK FLOYD when i was young and they did a song about her...Vera.
On the album THE WALL.
She had a radioshow to boost the British moral troops, she's still alive.
Born in 1917, big respect for this generation of people who come across so much change in the history of humanity and technologie.

England still exists, but may not do so for much longer if the libLabCon merchants have their way.
All decent English people must vote properly on MAY 6th and put their X for their BNP candidate.
