Im from Kansas City, I've visited Dallas and Houston before making a decision on which city I wanted to live in. Houston is the much better city, economy, crime, jobs, attractions. Just better all around city. Close to the beach, Alot cheaper to live in Houston than Dallas. Arlington is nice, but Dallas isnt. At least not to me. Houston has the best places to eat...PERIOD
im from new orleans but i live in dallas now since the storm but i always go back and visit my home town cause i miss the food there and i also go down there to houston my friend he goes to school out there txsu where mainly blacks attend but i must say i think houston is jus a bit more fun then dallas and the people are more frendly and plus the food is better to me dallas food is not all that great the taste is very bland to me and the chinese food in dallas really sucks............

I've been to some great restaurants and eaten some great tasting food here even though i've eaten creole and cajun mostly all my life (New Orleans roots). New Orleanians LOVE Mexican food too, but i don't know about Houston having "the restaurants EVER". In defense of New Orleans' restaurants, they're KNOWN for having "flavorful" food and recipes hands down! ( It goes wihout saying ).

I miss Houston so much!! We went there this summer for vacation from Los Angeles(we went to Miami, and Houston). And it was so fun! It had something for EVERYONE! Everyone in my group loved it, from people ages 11,13,16,42,45, & 80. Not one single person had a complaint! We can't wait to go back! Were actually planning on going back during Thanksgiving break, and possibly next summer if we have the $ after we pay for our trip to Australia. Houston is so exciting!

Just drove down to Houston/Sugarland for a few days. It's a hell of a lot nicer than San Antonio, partly because it's so green and San Antonio is so brown that it's depressing.
I think some of the comments made by new residents of Houston is, Houston isn't "Nationally" known for "attractions" that American people can relate to like other major cities. Houston is known for it's rodeos, barbecue, and western lifestyle but what else can anyone single out as a NATIONALLY known attraction ? Do a random survey in other cities and ask people this question on the street ! One answer might be the Space program and that's all. ( I don't see any oil wells either ).
Houston is freaking awesome. there's sooooooooo many things to do here. the museums, our sports teams, restaurants, night clubs(which i might say are soooo fun depending on which one you go too)). concerts, Galveston beach which is 45 minutes away, water parks. anything a normal big city would have. i have lived here my whole life and had the opportunity to leave for college but chose not too!
might i also add we have the ship channel which is very important for the US(:
I live in Houston all my life and it's a really great city to live in, to really get the full view, you wil have to go to the underground of Houston, such as blues and Jazz which are really big in Houston then there is thrash, metal, rockabilly...ect.

Im from Kansas City, I've visited Dallas and Houston before making a decision on which city I wanted to live in. Houston is the much better city, economy, crime, jobs, attractions. Just better all around city. Close to the beach, Alot cheaper to live in Houston than Dallas. Arlington is nice, but Dallas isnt. At least not to me. Houston has the best places to eat...PERIOD

im from new orleans but i live in dallas now since the storm but i always go back and visit my home town cause i miss the food there and i also go down there to houston my friend he goes to school out there txsu where mainly blacks attend but i must say i think houston is jus a bit more fun then dallas and the people are more frendly and plus the food is better to me dallas food is not all that great the taste is very bland to me and the chinese food in dallas really sucks............

I've been to some great restaurants and eaten some great tasting food here even though i've eaten creole and cajun mostly all my life (New Orleans roots). New Orleanians LOVE Mexican food too, but i don't know about Houston having "the restaurants EVER". In defense of New Orleans' restaurants, they're KNOWN for having "flavorful" food and recipes hands down! ( It goes wihout saying ).

I miss Houston so much!! We went there this summer for vacation from Los Angeles(we went to Miami, and Houston). And it was so fun! It had something for EVERYONE! Everyone in my group loved it, from people ages 11,13,16,42,45, & 80. Not one single person had a complaint! We can't wait to go back! Were actually planning on going back during Thanksgiving break, and possibly next summer if we have the $ after we pay for our trip to Australia. Houston is so exciting!

I think some of the comments made by new residents of Houston is, Houston isn't "Nationally" known for "attractions" that American people can relate to like other major cities. Houston is known for it's rodeos, barbecue, and western lifestyle but what else can anyone single out as a NATIONALLY known attraction ? Do a random survey in other cities and ask people this question on the street ! One answer might be the Space program and that's all. ( I don't see any oil wells either ).

Houston is freaking awesome. there's sooooooooo many things to do here. the museums, our sports teams, restaurants, night clubs(which i might say are soooo fun depending on which one you go too)). concerts, Galveston beach which is 45 minutes away, water parks. anything a normal big city would have. i have lived here my whole life and had the opportunity to leave for college but chose not too!
might i also add we have the ship channel which is very important for the US(:

I live in Houston all my life and it's a really great city to live in, to really get the full view, you wil have to go to the underground of Houston, such as blues and Jazz which are really big in Houston then there is thrash, metal, rockabilly...ect.
