Doom is Epic in anyways you say it,you can try to diss Doom but you will only get your ass handed by true Doom fans, i might be that young dumb kid back in the mid 90s (few years after Doom was released)when i was 8-10 and just discovered Doom ,sitting on my parents knee trying to play it. but damn i haven't lost respect for the game ore the developers.

Their best games were Quake 2, Doom 1&2 and Quake 3. All their other ones like wolfenstien, heretic etc... are all good games also. I don't think I have once played a bad I.d. game and I've played at least 90% of their games. Awesome company indeed.

Oh, and bungie, the guys who did Halo, know nothing of Shooters right? If you think that, then that's a load of crap. Bungie got it's start with Pathways into darkness (First person dungeon crawl), and they made Marathon, which was basically the macintosh's answer to Doom.

Bungie have been making games as long as id has, if not more so. So do your research next time. On topic, I've always wanted a tour in the id complex, since that I live near them.

it's not "repetitive"...it follows a story, unlike any game id has ever made. don't get me wrong, I love id software, but THEY'RE the ones who are repetitive DOOM 1 and 2 had no differences at all, and Quake 2 and 4 are basically the same game. and Halo 3 has kept it's value for almost 2 years now... Quake 4 got old in a few months

Halo is overhyped...and over rated... the Only reason it became so popular is because it was really the only fps that Xbox owners could play when the first xbox launched... that and M$ poured triple the cost to make the game into their marketing campaign..if they would of devoted that money into the game instead they maybe would of been good.
