  • [1] SUPER LOUD MUSIC!!!!

[2] ...can barely hear the voice

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOSOOOOOOOOOOOOLDIAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Epic music!

  • men you explanations are terrible i couldnt understand why you are doing these moves.

  • @Gooneryz

I thought his explanations are awesome. Its the music that's a touch loud.

This is a free video, so I will take it any day. THANKS. The music is great also. But his voice is done softly so... in turn (so to speak) it makes that "epic" mucic SO LOUD. BOOM

  • this endgame made me lose the tourney in my grade school if i could only turn back time. i could have forced a draw and play for the national :(

  • @Lazzlewins it's a draw

  • if the pawn is at the side (A or H file) is it still possible to force the win? I ended up in the situtation and i might have played it wrong but i couldnt see a way to win

  • @Lazzlewins Pretty certain you cannot advance the pawn if it is on the A or H file. As in the video when the black king goes one direction, white's king goes the opposite. well on the A or H file, it's impossible to go the opposite. So make sure you don't end up in that situation with a pawn stuck on A or H.

  • thx for uploading very usefull vid!!!!

  • I was really confused by this video.Couldn t understand the drawn continuation. But when i tried it i figured it out.You were right as always^^.Thanx for the videos!

  • HEY, MAN! Great Video, Great Music.

I have been struggling to learn Chess. I look forward to your leadership to learn more!

  • what if at 3:25 instead of black moving up to C7 he moves parallel to the king on B5 then do you advance he pawn?

  • Yeah just advance the pawn. black should then move to b6. white can push king to d6. then black king to b7. white can this push pawn up to c5. Then the critical move. black should move to c8 and white can move king to c6 with the same spot i go over in video. Then depending on whether black moves to b8 or d8 white can move king to the other 7th rank and push pawn up with no problem.

    Hope this helps. Good question.

  • I am not sure if I agree this is the easiest endgame to learn. I think Q and K vs King and rook vs. king are easier to learn and execute. The reason this ending stumps people is that one pawn move can turn the win into a draw. Other endings are more forgiving of inaccuracies. You don't get a second chance to take the opposition. Thanks for the video.

  • You can get rybka for free I think

  • no that is just the demo version that goes to depth 2 i believe... not very promising anaylsis until you get the actual program

  • Tictac hopefully you are not basing the winning position off the chess engine from my site, its not a powerful engine. Please use a powerful engine and you will see the game is drawn.

  • do you know a powerful chess engine

  • cheess is my favorite baord game

  • close but incorrect, at the beggining when the wight king moves over and the black king moves down all the wight has to do is advance the pawn that will force the black king to move then from there on its pretty much game over

  • if by game over you mean a tie game then yes you are correct. If you mean game over like white wins then you are close but incorrect. Go set this position up vs a computer engine and let me know how it comes back. That's why I made this video because too many people aren't familiar with how to win.

  • i have set it up many times once the pawn advances the black king has to move because its his turn he cant move down or diagona down lbecause it puts him in check so he is forced to move to the side or back from their you just keep advancing the pawn and king, iv asked many people and they all agree unless im missing something im correct

  • Not sure what to tell you. If you are saying that white can move king to d3 as its first move and still win then I think you may want to ask a different group of people. What you might want to try is get a strong engine, set up the position and try to win cause it's a drawn position. If black plays correctly then white can't win. White can advance his pawn and king but can't win.

  • ok iv done it on your website many times if youll alow me i would like to use a video iv done from your website and post it as a video response

  • It's slightly confusing to say 2 spaces 'between' when it's just one between. 2 spaces 'from' is clearer. Any odd number is called the 'opposition', I believe.

  • you rock! i've just got into chess and your helping me out a bunch!

  • aw.w. so basic :P

more pawns would be more fun, having to use tempo's and shit... or piece against pawns.

Still endgames are pritty easy most of the time

  • thanks for this, i always get a draw until now
