  • @nitrokid007 - i have ran them, hell, i used to assemble them....$50,000 pieces of crap. i'd take a skid steer over a tc any day.

  • toolcats aren't junk

  • That really sucks. That Toolcat's probably a write off. I'm sure it was running hot when it went into that Freezing cold water. It's gone bad.

  • Damn, You mean the ice has to be replaced??

  • those toolcats are junk anyway.

  • No they arent.

  • i use to assemble them in bismarck. i think they're crap because they can't lift shit. early toolcats had overheating problems as well as busted booms. the new ones can only lift 1,500 lbs.

  • The ice didn't look thick enough for small car at 2000 lbs vs 7000 lb machine.

We just got off Milacs with 13" of ice, and I didn't really like being out in the middle at 5 miles from shore with the GMC 4x4. Ice fishing.

Then there is highly the possibility of diesel and oil that escaped the machine while under water.

Someone is lucky they were in shallow water.

  • what was the damage on the toolcat?

  • We were not informed...our knowledge ended once we got it out!!!

  • nice!

  • What did you charge for that? I'm guessing around $6000?

  • Let's go with that...
