The tyson of the 80s died when he let go of rooney. His trademark was the quick headmovement and fast combinations. When he let go of rooney, he lost his defence completely, and started throwing one hard punch at a time instead of a quick combination. His power permitted him to knock out a lot of opponents, but you cant fight like that for 12 rounds, which is why tyson never was a 12 round fighter after he fired kevin rooney. It's toobad, in my opinion, he's the best ever.

Mike Tyson is the perfect example of unfulfilled potential. He peaked at around 22-23, after that it was downhill. I remember watching his first fight after he left Kevin Rooney, I am pretty sure it was Frank Bruno. Mike was getting tagged by this big, not very fast guy that would have never hit him with a clean punch a year before, Tyson was not throwing those horrible combos, his inside work seemed off. Watching that fight, I said to myself, Tyson is going to lose badly very soon. Too bad!

The tyson of the 80s died when he let go of rooney. His trademark was the quick headmovement and fast combinations. When he let go of rooney, he lost his defence completely, and started throwing one hard punch at a time instead of a quick combination. His power permitted him to knock out a lot of opponents, but you cant fight like that for 12 rounds, which is why tyson never was a 12 round fighter after he fired kevin rooney. It's toobad, in my opinion, he's the best ever.

Holyfield may be juiced, Tyson not or at least not hard. So what, Hollyfield had to gain wheight to become a heavywheight. Taking steroids would have only been for wheight gain, punching power hardly emproves with weightlifting-steroidsshit. I've boxed for ten years and I saw guys gaining many pounds of muscles, never seen them hitting harder. Punching power comes out of explosive muscle fiber and leveridge, you can't train it with powertraining for weightgain.

He bascially said mike was on a diet of steroids, and btw, if you think physiques can be built like that drug free, think again, same with Evander, total roid head, you can actually see Evander is naturally quite slim, without the roids that is.
