Right now, the best affordable machine for auto interiors and upholstery in general, is a Consew 206RB-5. They are sold by most industrial sewing machine dealers. The next one to it is a Chandler 406RB. I buy my machines, thread and needles, etc, from Toledo Industrial Sewing Machines. They sell the Consew, Chandler, Juki, Cowboy and most other brands of industrial sewing machines.Their number is 366-362-7397
I posted this short video in the hopes of educating other potential buyers about what a walking foot machine actually is. I could have typed a thousand words, but the 56 second video tells it all.
I worked my way up, through various types of feed until I found this triple feed mechanism.
If you intend to sew real leather, especially big pieces of upholstery grade, or dense belt leather, a compound feed walking foot machine is a must-have.
Don't be fooled by eBay "Industrial Strength" machines
thankyou for setting the world straight it seems impossible to ask what a walking foot is because there are so many cheap gimmicky versions of the real thing.
