  • Thanks for writing such a great song which exemplifies anyone having Appalachian blood running in their veins. I love this song the first time I heard it. God Bless you!

  • @the12thwoman Thank you so very much. That's very encouraging to me.

  • I am from Appalachia and there is no place like home. Been all over the world and I could not wait to get back home. Now I am back and I will never leave again. Bury me beneath the Mountain Larual and I will be in heaven.

  • I'm from Letcher County and I've lived abroad for over 7 years now. But I have to say I only have one HOME and thats appalachia. I miss the mountains of my childhood so much sometimes, that it hurts to think of the memories I have.

  • I know what you mean. I get those same "hurting" feelings when I think of my wonderful childhood when things were simple here in the mountains. Thank you for watching my video.

  • Awesome pics. I'd love to visit that part of the country but I doubt they welcome many Muslims down there.

3:06 cool rainbow origin. Ive never seen one

  • You'd be welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • Beautiful country! I went to Appalchaia for the first time to visit my wife's grandmother in Clay County, KY..Some of the kindest people I've ever met in my life. Great slideshow

  • Thank you for watching.

  • The images and the music is magnificent.

  • Hey Alan....how's you doing? Did yu take any of these photos from the old Ieager road, near the old Stud Farm in Roderfield? It sure looks like some of it. Sheesh...I sometimes miss home so bad.........

  • As a matter of fact, I did. There were at least 5 pictures from that road most notably the rock cliff. The small creek branch was also on that road. Thanks for watching.

  • Thought so. I walked it far too many times to not recognize it. Wonderful vieo. Thanks for making and posting it.

  • Hey Alan, you're the Man! This is great music and a really nice pictorial accompaniment. You clearly have the eye of an artist as well as the ears and soul.

  • Thanks for watching and the kind words.

  • Been watching your videos tonight and love this one especially. I've sent the link to everyone I know :)

Now I have to go look and see if y'all sell a CD!

  • Thanks for watching. Our CD is titled, Sweet Appalachia.

  • WV is quickly being destroyed by mountain top removal, this docomentation of WV nature, music, and way of life, will be valued when WV is nothing but a vast wasteland and a large amount of usa is suffering from the deforestation, weather changes, posioning of the few last bits of clean water. :(

  • Love the music, this is what WV sounds like at dusk, when the coyotes call, wild cats groan, and the hearts of man celebrate the end of another day close to almost heaven.

  • Hi! I am from Canada and love your music and your country.

  • Thanks a bushel for watching!

  • really enjoy all the vids you guys have out - will keep checking for more, I know you've got a lot more we haven't heard

    beautiful song

  • Thanks to you for watching and for the encouragement.

  • Hey, I didn't even know this was here! This is really great. It would be neat to have one that takes you through all the four seasons of Appalachia :). I've got some great winter shots (even though winter sucks) if you ever want to use them. Adding in some of your old family pics from when you were a kid (I'm thinking right now of those from where y'all were all playing in that creek) would be neat, too! But this is a great pictoral of the beauty in which we live that *is* West Virginia.

  • Wow, that's haunting. Thanks for posting this.

  • enjoyed the picture tour alan, as well as the great song.

  • Good stuff there Alan.

  • Thanks a bushel.

  • Fine work Alan
