Yes, demolition started on June 2. It will take about 10 months to get the buildings down.

If you want to get there and smash what's left, you have only got a few months.

Warning: do not smash in the admin, chapel, or water tower as these are to be saved.

Also watch out for asbstos.

@Theshadowrazor New Wave Urbexers will also be interested in photographs and exploration. But they will have studied the history and plans for the place so they will be aware of what is to be saved and when demolition is due. They are generally well educated and informed, unlike chavs or vandals who smash indiscriminately.

They will not set fires or waste public resources. But they will enjoy breaking up crap stuff which is not worthy of saving and would only be demolished anyway.
