nice... but there is a faster way: after the first 4-man patrol u should run at the right side (before the man+dog-patrol comes) and then when you reach the man smoking, turn left in the bushes en crouch, when u get out of the bushes go prone and head to 1:46. prone further to the hill at 2:30 and sprint and jump down before the rock (if u jump on it u'll somehow break ur leg and u cant move (u srsly break ur leg watch in co-op)) sprint to 3:27 and then (as u sugested) go right and u beat it...

at 2:30 if you stay on the hill you can kill everyone and they won't notice you.

at the end, if you bear left the guys do actually see you, whether it seems like they do or not, i tried a lot of times. If you look back at the bottom they are running towards you or have there guns pointed at you. The best way to do it is to bear to the right as much as possible, like you suggested.
