  • There were about 3 different pirate stations when I was listening to jungle back in '93-'95... I can only remember the name of one of them though! That was Dream FM... fuck! What were the others?

  • @nickthelick.....there was Kool FM and Eruption FM. Yes I remember waking up on those summer morning to the sounds of Jungle music!! Made my day!!

  • @nickthelick Yes indeedy, there were more than a few Jungle stations that were doing the rounds at that time 1991 to around 1998 times me thinks, but some had a brief life span..

Off the top my head: Weekend Rush Fm 92.3 (I could be wrong!?), Kool Fm 94.5, Eruption Fm 101.3, Pulse Fm 90.1 (again I might be wrong) to name a few..

  • @sharless1 I hope that your view on dubstep hasn't been tainted by skrillex and theis new age american shit thats drowning the good stuff out. Listen to rusko's early stuff. I hope this may change your view on dubstep.

  • @djjoshb =]

it seens jungle is more popular than ardcore

  • @djparnate

Jungle/Drum N Bass wasn't or still isn't to this day as big as Hardcore, Hardcore is much much bigger.

I've always preferred Drum N Bass though ;)

  • @kevblueman Nah mate. Drum n Base is HUUGEE in the UK. dunno bout the rest of the world but Hard core is practically non existent here. At least for my generation anyway.

  • @chrizgoodwin

I've been Hysteria's and Slammin Vinyl...and they always have bigger warehouses put by for Hardcore as it has a bigger following. The Sanctuary Milton Keynes (closed now) was about as big as Licensed raves got, even there you had the Drum N Bass up stairs which took up quarter the factory, with the Hardcore downstairs and the Techno being played in the Rollers factory. Also Hardcore is huge in Asia and South America, as where Drum N Bass seems to be growing in North America ;)

  • @kevblueman I've got cousins in Canada, they got me and my brother in to DnB. but I defffinetly prefer the older stuff. My brother went to see shy fx at Audio in Brighton on the 9th. He said it was the best gig he's been to!

  • @LillabetteHane Track listing:

Blackstar (feat. Top Cat) - Champion DJ (Blue Print Mix) - Congo Natty

Engineers Without Fears - Spiritual Aura - Dee Jay

The House Crew (feat. S.E.S.) - Superhero (My Knight) - Production House

  • proper tunes

  • wow, memories

  • nickey blackmarket = old skool jungle king, IMO =]

  • da a aa aa aa aark. sound of the mickey finn x

  • lets say i wanted like an hour long back to back mix of something oldskool like this, where do i go ? im asking nicely btw

  • @bigshep321 Theres a couple of good ones on YT, just search for oldschool jungle or whatever and under filter&explore options you can sort for video's longer than 20min.

Soundcloud also has a bunch of em but it'll take some digging.

  • when music was real. almost makes you feel sorry for kids these days because they have fuck all thats orignal.

  • @wwwRickyWordenCom wat are u saying? o.0 im 17 and now at this time i can just go back and listen to the hundreds of banging tunes that have been made over the years... even if there are not many jungle raves still bout!

  • @wwwRickyWordenCom Every now and again someone like skrillex shos up... that's all we have. i liked it when dnb/dubstep was underground. i know that it's good that a genre of music from the uk has evolved into something great, but i'm not a listener who likes that. i want old dubstep back and i also want jungle back and old school for that matter,

  • @wwwRickyWordenCom im 16 and living in an age of bieber... this shit is like paracetamol for me.

  • @IRidgezzISswagI Same here mate, the music we grow up with is wank..until i found out about jungle, never looked back :D

  • @IRidgezzISswagI beber is like cyanide to me =(

  • @wwwRickyWordenCom true seen
