How much was it in your country's currency? Fastest speed you've gone in? Is it really that "efficient" compared to a normal bicycle? Is it difficult going up hill? How much cargo does it have, enough to hold a school backpack?
A new one cost about 6000 euro ... or more. I could do 40 km/h constant speed with it. I got top of 53 km/h on flat ground. A student of me got 62 km/h out of it on flat ground.
Yes, it is surely more efficient as a regular bike. You don't feel affected by headwind.
The entire shell beside the rear wheel can be used as cargobay. I backpack will not fit as it is too wide. But two sacks will fit left and right into the body.
Access is through entryhole. Trunklid made could be solution.
go see this sit. it has hazbro in the middle. the usual 3w at the front and the classic com at the end. If I write it down otherwise, it will be deleted by youtube. So ...I hope you get the site. Are several pictures there and text in english.
In a Quest the floor is not thick enough to stand on. You would step right through it! Only the space next to the steer is thick enough to hold your weight. I use that spot to enter a Quest. In a Waw (Waw is another type of velomobile) the floor is thick enough to stand anywhere. Sorry for late reaction.
The bottom of the Waw is wider as it is a flat bottom. Quest is more rounded. But in both I never felt narrow seated.
Quest is fastest in my opinion. Waw best looking. Quest has rear suspension too. Waw not. It comes like always on personal choice. Anyway ...I like both.
THose light I added myself. The nose light was many times mistaken for a garden dwarf light. It is too low. Now I am mistaken for a small motorcycle. This time they give me room on the road.
No, those light holders are just ordinary trailerlights you can find in any good car-parts-shop. I recently replaced the lightbulbs with LEDs.
The sticker is not reflective. But I have heard of a similar bike with has a LARGE sticker with reflective skin. The sticker shows a large tiger while running.

oh yea, since i live in Toronto, it rains quite often, how do u deal with rain and snow in the Quest?
drumzstix666 2 years ago
Rain is no problem with the cover. Only your head gets wet. I once rode through a rainstorm and only got wet head and a bit shoulders. That was ALL.
Snow ...sorry ...cannot tell...never rode in snow.

I forgot to tell. Currently they have a kind of roof (dismountable) to protect more against rain.

By any chance do you know where I can get more information on this dismountable roof for the Quest?

do you step on the floor of the velomobile when getting in?

OK THANKS.

Thank you for your response.
If you would, could you film closer, the details of your lighting set up and your helpful info about Quests in general?
I am just about to order (next week) my Quest from Blue Velo in Toronto Canada but won't see it until next Fall or late next Summer.
In my opinion one can never be bright enough, night or day when out on the road in traffic.

Haha, I agree with you about never being bright enough. i once had a helmet light that was so bright the cars flashed back. Really powerfull light!
I soon will begin again with filming and so. Might make a "special" about those lights.

I appreciate you doing more technical films about your light set up.
My main bikes are a Burley Rock & Roll Tandem and a Santana Triplet.
My tail lights are attached to a trunk bag on the rear rack(s) of my bikes.
I swap the lights from bike to bike depending on which I'm riding that day.
My two rear lights have a total of 80 flashing red LEDs. Very Bright!
The Quest will be my solo machine

New rabbit-ear tail/stop lights? Demonstrate the controls. Demonstrate the trunk. Demonstrate the new nose bumper system.

Did you manufacture those tail lights yourself? Is the flame decal reflective at night?
