she is smiling because she finally made the limelight. she was trying to kill another swimmer (who was shadowing her- getting all the publicity)with a bow and arrow and missed and killed an innocent bystander. this was the end of the episode after they put it all together.

great song btw.. I also had to look it up to see who it was.

I just looked for this song from CSI Miami, too. Just shows you the power of tv. This song is beautiful, and I dont like a whole lot ballads in this style, but this one has got it.
