@gregboyds Really and if your house was on fire would you want a truck to leave the station as soon as the call comes in , or would you want to wait 5-7 minutes for that truck to leave. knowing that a fire doubles every 3 minutes. i am a volunteer firefighter. but know paid is the way to go.
I've noticed that around here (the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada) the emergency vehicles who have the red light always slow down to make sure the coast is clear before proceeding.
actually in most states its law they still have to stop and yelid to redlights and stop signs to make sure there is nothing coming which there obviously was if we just run a red light and someone runs into the side of us even if we had lights and sirens going its still our fault because we didnt yeild
well alot of the Newer traffic lights some of those have sensors that will change when the Emergency lights hit the sensor but there is still a big majority of the traffic lights that dont have those
@danielb1787 Some lights do and some don't, I believe this one did since it had a camera. I don't know what happens when two trucks hit the light at the same time though, since both trucks had the opticon to change the light..
The 'who's in these buildings" comment was explaining why they were in such a hurry, both truck were on their way to a house fire, the one that flipped ran the light in front of the other. It was a blind corner, both trucks had sirens on (can't hear eachother) and both had opticons to change the light.
The driver going through the RED LIGHT is supposed to stop and check for traffic before proceeding. To bad it was the driver that had the right-of-way that took it head-on. Dumb ass!
I guess in the end it's inevitable for this to happen from time to time

The driver was drunk...

the truck that was rolled is at fault. It rolled though a red light and into the path of the other fire truck that ran into it.

"which truck hit which truck first" theres only 2 trucks. they would have both hit the other truck at the same time
ampthilluk 2 years ago 40
I think he meant "which truck hit which"... As in, which one hit the other...
SuperDucky9 2 years ago
i know, but they both collided at the same time.
ampthilluk 2 years ago
hmm no. If one truck hit the other, then that truck did not get hit. It was doing the ramming!
nitemite 2 years ago
no they both got hit
ampthilluk 2 years ago
...umm, no, they didnt. One was hit, the other did the hitting.
SuperDucky9 2 years ago
no, they both touched the other one so they hit each other, it just so happens that 1 truck hits the other at higher speed and flips the other truck.
ampthilluk 2 years ago
Every time someone gets hit both cars/trucks/ whatever touch. (: Knowledge is power!
