  • get real, the drunkenness is the sin. her this guy is absolutely correct. wine was commonly used because the water was full of bacteria and germs. grape juice was used but with no refrigeration it would ferment and yes you would have some alcohol. to say otherwise would clearly show someone to be ignorant. chrsit made wine not juice. thats a fact. in europe they have a glass of wine with a meal just as they always have.because some abuse does not make it wrong. gluttony is sinful too.stop eating

  • @Livatube LOL. And if it's not a sin but a man-made-up rule, then loving God won't get in the way of enjoying that non-sin. Thus we can drink wine. The word used by Noah, being the same used by the priests in temple ceremony.

  • I don't drink. Having said that I think that Ps. 104:15 should be included in the mix where God makes, "wine that maketh glad the heart of man".

  • Dont you think the Lord experienced some merryment induced by alchohol . That it even put jealousy in the hearts of observers . To relax is not altering the state of conciesness. It is settling the nerves and great for the health including lowering the blood pressure. But you are not opposing the health aspect you are opposing drink and be merry. Again you are mostly wrong. The Lord demands you do not hand yourself over to those drunken spirits , of coarse. Dont be drunk. Be Christian.

  • Noah was a drunk ,so is he in hell ?

  • @ROCKSGGLP Noah got drunk--with bad and lasting consequences! But Noah was a man of faith, believing God about the flood, so he was saved. Through believing in Christ we receive the righteousness which is by faith (Rom 3:22), which Noah had:

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." Heb 11:7

  • @Enoch2 Noah got drunk and naked and his boy came in his tent and saw him naked . But the boy was cursed cause of Noah's drunkin naked sleep . He (The Boy ) and Canaan had to become slaves because he walked in and his father was sleeping butt naked drunk . Give me a break .

  • @ROCKSGGLP Believe in Christ for the free gift of eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  • Thank you for such a clear and simple explanation ! wonderful :)

  • ...........and another thing ill let you know is that "you dont have to put sugar or yeast in grape juice to ferment it into wine. I come from italian heritage and both my grandfathers used to make wine and they never ever put yeast or sugar in the barrels to ferment it. It ferment on its own. And guess what..."its the strongest wine you will ever drink..seriously, it is seriously strong stuff. Commercial wines do not even compare in terms of alcohol strength. One glass and its goodnite irene!!!

  • NGJMinistries..i find contradiction in this video. Firstly you agree that we can drink wine..but if we get drunk we will go to the lake of fire. Well sir, i dont get it. This makes no sense to me! Alcohol should either be banned by biblical standards or it should be allowed. There is no in between. I dont see anywhere in the bible where it says "A little bit is ok..but if you have one more glass you will get drunk and go to hell for it. Is that what you honestly believe???

  • @delitemyheart hes not talking about a mid point. he says that if people drink wine to alter you normal state, to be "happy" or to party, they might have a problem with alcohol.

  • @andrewwk6 So how is one to determine a "normal state"??? Even if you have one wine its going to change your normal state anyway. So how can you say that???

I think alcohol is a problem when you become depended on it...

  • @delitemyheart yeah i get ur point, what i meant is that if people want to change their normal state on purpose, basically, to get drunk on purpose... i agree with u about the dependance of alcohol, it becomes a serious problem, also for some other adictions

  • @andrewwk6 i just get annoyed with churches and people who say that it is a sin to drink alcohol, because that is simply not true. The warnings in the bible refer to drunkardness. When someone becomes dependant on alcohol..then alcohol has become there God and when someone is drunk there is a greater potential to fall into sin. These are the reasons why i think we are warned about drunkardness. If one is wise..he wont get too drunk. Just drink responsible and put the lord first always...

  • @delitemyheart that is true man. many religions, if not most of them, prohibit things, as they were mandatory, like in the old testament. we dont live now by those many rules, but by he grace of God that comes thru our faith. a christian shouldnt get drunk because is a rule or, its because he or she loves God more than anything and keeps away from those sins or behaviours.

  • @andrewwk6 Exactly!...Also we are not to judge one another in matters of food or drink. Whatever we eat or drink must be in faith before the Lord. See ROMANS 14:13-23 KJV.

  • @delitemyheart yea i read that passage yesterday, it was a coincidence :)

  • Sorry but you are pontificating. Wine brings joy, is used by the dying to ease their pain and is needed for various medicinal uses. It is used in feasts and during the passover. Wine "cheers you up" Ecc 10:19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.

Psalms 104:15; " wine to cheer us up,"

If wine doesn't do ANYTHING to the drinker then how can it "cheer you up."?

  • People often forget about the very first recorded Miracle that Jesus performed.... Take a look at John's gospel folks.

  • If you listen he says for medical purpose is ok Old testament says give it to the dying. So putting to sleep at the hospital would include medical.

  • If altering the mind is a sin-period-then aren't the following sins as well: putting someone to sleep for surgery, someone taking prescription medication that makes them drowsy where it's just as dangerous for them to drive as a drunk, someone consuming things that have the opposite effect and are stimulants such as caffeine.

  • Well alcohol was clearly used for medicine in the bible. so for medical purpose it would not be a sin.

  • Unless they drank the grape juice immediately or had some other means of stopping fermentation, which is done chemically today, it is unlikely is was of low alcoholic content. Nearer to 20% is more like it.

Afterall we are of italian descent with centuries of wine-making heritage. Anyways the point of the lesson is not to be wine-bibbers, nor allow your brother/sister to stumble if it is a temptation. Lord bless all.

  • So I hardly doubt the jews drank 1-2% alcohol wine. When grapes are crushed and allowed to sit in a wooden vat, they immediately begin a fermentation process that continues for several days until all the sugar becomes alcohol.

  • The sugar and yeast "addition" to grapes is not true, and not necessary at alll with grapes. Why? Because grapes naturally have a high sugar content..eg. raisins. And especially because it was such an arid climate with plenty of sun which creates the sugar content, grapes would have an exceptionally high sugar content.
