  • OMG I AM GETTING THIS GAME TOMMOROW AND MY FAVORITE YOUTUBER REVIEWED IT!? YOU CAN SEE THE EXCITMENT!!

  • cool story bro

  • @TheNobleG em 11/17/11 that's a valid date lol

  • cool review.

  • I'm not mage so the aiming isn't as good, but what I did find was that upgading adrenaline and strengh every time I leveled up and always wearing heavy armor enabled you to fight really well, massive trolls were killed with two arrows and a slash with a sword, while it took three to kill a human, I hradly lost any health and I enjoyed and still do enjoy this game very, very much.

  • I think my cousin played this when I was 7 and I think I was interested in it.

  • what weapen do you use?

  • I enjoyed watching your review. Based on critique and admirable sense of humor I think I'll enjoy this game. I've never played Oblivion, just Skyrim. I'd be anxious to see more back-story. =)

  • Damn this game looks awfull its about time i play it

  • I just bought this game last week. Gamestop had the game of the year edition for 20 bucks new XD

  • I have literally played every Elder Scrolls besides Oblivion. I think its damn time I buy it.

  • Now i want to play oblivion again..

  • I cannot believe this and Skyrim are of the same console generation. Just, can't wrap my head around it.

  • Its good on PC, and I will buy on PS3.

    PC = arrows

    PS3 = Solid Sneaking....

  • okay so i lost my game of the year edition cd for PC, so i was wondering if there is some other way i can play it w/ out the cd w/ out downloading and mounting it. PLEASE HELP!!!

  • @crystal39157

sorry man .. but HEY, Steam has it for $6 right now, and it's the GOTY Deluxe edition! go grab it!

  • @hungree7 Hey I bought that not 5 minutes ago :D

  • lol @ the end.

  • wat sword were u using?, the green one

  • i never really liked how there lips moved.

    it just looked unnatural.

  • Hey PC users, this game is on 75% sale on Steam until 11/17/11 at 7pm EST

  • LOL @ the ending XD

  • I'm from the future, 2001! Skyrim came out!!!

  • i dont get the problem with sleeping to level up, i mean then houses are a bit pointless apart from storage :/

  • Me:Yes! I finally got Oblivion!

    (puts in disc)

Me:Hell yeah time to play it!

    (Starts to play)

    (Social life dies)

  • What are the green and blue swords? I just bought the game and I think they look epic.

  • @MrAawesomegamer green is a glass sword, forgot blue sorry

  • @MrAawesomegamer Green is a regular Glass sword, blue is Chillrend.

  • lol i love this game

  • review got some spoiler

  • When i bought it with my xbox all those years ago i though it was the best game ever made. Im not picky, and i had played morrowind beforehand. I was so amazed by this game that all of it's "faults" dident bother me one bit. That said if i went back to the game now i probaly would not feel the same way...but hey that's what Skyrim is for right?

  • Lol I just got this game today for $20

  • Okay for some reason when this guy played Oblivion he had some problems. But when I played the only problem I had in the game is that it had no problem.

  • @ImKoolWithThis Thats quite the awkward problem.

  • i only beat the game once out of my 5 profiles.......

  • agreed

  • i dnt knw, i thought oblivion was a pretty good game overall, but i did think the combat was a little bit awkward at times, i hope the combat will be more exciting in skyrim

  • nice patrick stewarting

  • nice green sword :)

  • @alpha123jay And being picky with swords at all is for cunts.

  • @Yuriofwind arent those the same thing

  • @alpha123jay OWNED o O

  • @alilittles they are tho daedric FTW

  • @alpha123jay I hate to be a smart-ass, but that is chillrend, not a glass sword.

  • @Sybbyl1 (at teh start it was chillrend)

  • 2:58 i love doing that!

  • @alpha123jay troll*

  • if oblivion is such a great game than why does it feel like only 5 people on my friends list have it (1 stop playing due to file glitching). O wait, I know, it is fucking call of duty taking away fans of other games cus they assume that anything with the words call of duty is the best game ever dispte many being utter crap (BTW, I love oblivion)

  • bought the anniversary edition for 29$ its frickin awesome

  • Does the ps3 version have knights of the nine?

  • You can't review a game from 2006 in 2010 when your used to 2010's more advanced games it has to be review'd when its brought out and compared to games of the same time period. Also the only bad point really was there was alot of glitches/laggy bits, but what game from 2006 didn't have this? Look at GOW from 2006 and just think of all the glitches in that.. Also why the would you want a lock-on? that would just make the whole combat situation too easy and pointless. But ok review anyway

  • @xTonyyy I'm sorry, but I disagree, and many others do as well because we have so many retro reviews on the internet. The thoughts expressed in this video were the same ones that I felt when I first played the game when it came out. Yes I had issues with it, aiming was shit, leveling was weird and stupid, and some odds and ends, but it's still a great game, and I didn't deny that, in fact I said so. Also why? Aiming is shit on the console version, melee is fine but long range is awkward as fuck.

  • @Yuriofwind well lock on would sock thats like everyone in cod or battlefield had aimbot and all you had to do was aim and it would lock on that wouldnt be fair lol

  • @xTonyyy You can review it, you just can't review it against skyrim.

  • lol at the end. good stuff man as always i like how your 100% honest in your reviews not biased at all times u need to show the pros how its done1 LOL GREAT JOB THOUGH.

  • oh chillrend

  • i just dont get it u have a glasslongsword but u fite scamps must be PC

  • yuri means girl on girl anime porn

  • Good game, looking forward to Skyrim :D

  • im seriously thinking of buying this for 30 dollars. is it worth it?

  • @bananamancanbmc 10 bucks on steam for pc :)

  • I saw this in a store for 50 dollars, should I buy it? Or wait for skyrim?

  • @Giddo11 wtf $50??!?!? this game is AT MOST $20 (not the anniversary)

  • I...WANT...SKYRIM!!!

  • @xHozzah Okay so that proves my point. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about :P

  • @xHozzah The Quest are fun. Have you done any of the Faction questlines like the DarkBrotherHood or the Theives Guild? Have you done any of the daedric Shrine quest? Have you done the Troll painting quest, the Dream amulet quest, the floted boat quest, the vampire cure quest, or what about the "Who did it?"

  • @xHozzah How? The quests are easy and you get a quest marker lol.

  • Oblivion was better than Fallout 3 in most aspects. Oblivion had 300 to 400 hours of content with 100+ side quest, 5 faction quest lines, and the main story. Even though it does not have guns it has magic which is very unique magic by the way. Oblivion was never really buggy, it had no gamebreaking bugs like Fallout NV for example.

  • do you have to subscribe?

  • the ending was epic

  • I love Oblivion, but I'm not a fanboy of it, It had tons of glaring flaws, but somehow was still a good game. Go figure.

  • i hated the law system and psychic guards

  • This game needs to be reviewed in regards to the standards when it was originally released. Back in 2006 it was really the first "next gen" RPG and people were wowed by it.

Of course it's going to feel somewhat dated now.

  • should i get this game to prepare for skyrim and also just if its a good game or is it not worth it

  • @FTW1998 i found oblivion to be a borefest, skyrim looks to be awesome though.

  • @FTW1998 i was thinking the same, idk if i should buy this or not

  • Seems pretty fair to me. Its your opinion, you have the right to one. I don't get why there are so many trolls raging on you because you didn't praise this game to be "the RPG of RPG's" And you knew what you were talking about, cheers to a good review

  • My biggest problem with this game, and it's not something I hear a lot of reviewers talk about, is the game's leveling system. It is so convoluted and arbitrary. It's very easy to gimp yourself - having some level 15 character that is just horrible at everything.

Fallout 3 is better in just about every way. I only hope Skyrim follows in Fallout's footsteps and doesn't regress.

  • wow this looks a lot like Fallout. Not saying it ripped off, so fanboys calm down. I'm bout to go on an rpg over haul and get this, skyrim, Fallout 3, New Vegas, and both Dragon Ages.

  • @RevengeOnCommercials

I think this is made by the same people who made fallout.

  • @RevengeOnCommercials 1. this is by the same people that made fallout 3.

    2. skyrim didnt even come out yet.

  • @Piercebandits So? I'm still getting it. Okay, but don't you hate when a band like Disturbed makes pretty much the same song over and over? Studios like Insomniac Games pull off Ratchet and Clack, Valve pull off Left 4 Dead and Portal. You can change you're formula when you are making a different game.

  • @RevengeOnCommercials actually even though graphics make this game look like fallout the actual game IS much different. There both much different actually, and personally i like this much much better.

  • @Piercebandits I wasn't talking about the graphics. I was talking about things like the way you talk to a person how it zooms in on them. The character designs. And all that type of stuff.

  • That's why oblivion for PC is much better! Modders have fixed the vast majority of bugs even after the devs stopped updating the game

  • It's funny really, this game is shit old, but fun all the same, and is still rated the best RPG of all time, until Skyrim of course.

  • Fuck I loved this game.

  • Haha I love the ending. Hope you rot criminal scum XD

  • 3 words. The Dark Brotherhood.

  • You can also put it into 3rd person :P

  • absolutely love oblivion (will be buying goty edition again this week (after having to sell my last 360 due to bills).i do agree with a lot of what you said though ;-)great review sir.

  • Dude, awesome review. However I am the true king of procrastionation for I shall purchase this game TODAY!

  • I've only just recently bought this game and it is true, once a good game always will be a good game, regardless of graphics or not!

Only heard good things about it, but what I have to say about it is that my waypoints keep disapearing so I have got lost on numerous occasions! but I have enjoyed the arena and the first few bits of the campaign (im a newbie I know) :P

    I keep getting arrested xD

    Cant wait for Skyrim!

  • Hey Yuri, I think I know what your answer is, but are you going to buy Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim the day it comes out? I fucking know I am! :D

  • What's the song that plays at the beginning? It's type awesome!

  • oblivion isnt my favorite rpg...it is my second favorite....I love lord of the rings so I really like oblivion...Fallout 3 is my current favorite game...but I'm waiting to see if skyrim will be better...its graphics are surely better

  • Getting this today and can't wait for Skyrim! This is my first ES game

  • Oh yeah forgot to mention that the PC version has a mod that fixes 1800 bugs and glitches. So if you guys wanna play this game, PLAY IT IN THE PC!! xD

  • I just played this game yesterday, and I'm already 6 hours into it and I haven't touch the second main quest lol xD. Games these days only last that long. I think Oblivion will keep me occupied for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG LONG TIME.

  • being that oblivion luredme into fallout id say i had a better time with oblivion

  • The main events ("story") are actually really thoroughly done, with all sorts of background anchored in the world. Generally, Oblivion has a lot of lore for anyone who is interested enough to read the books and chat with the people, and is fully thought out with geography and history linking with Morrowind. It leaves the engagement to the player who may choose to gather information and prepare, rush in on a need-to-know-basis or ignore the requests for help and go do something else.

  • lol thanks such a realistic review

  • @halo6534 When a game comes out, whether it's four or eight years ago, doesn't matter. If it's good, it'll always be good.

  • @Yuriofwind Good call with a good game will always be good. I still think n64's ocarina of time is one of he greatest games ever made despite the graphics. I also still play ES3 Morrowind all the time because it's simply just an amazing game.

  • @halo6534 No wonder your username is "halo".

  • @halo6534 Typical halo fanboy response.

  • @halo6534 If someone has a conflicting opinion they are automatically "a fag". You must be twelve.

  • @halo6534 FYI, games don't magically get worse because they've been out for years. However, after a few years, they get cheaper to run, cheaper to buy and come with an already established community, patches, mods, wiki etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @halo6534 mario was released like 25 years ago or something like that, it still fucking awesome...

oblivion was awesome in 2006, and it is awesome in 2011

  • Comment removed

  • @halo6534 Even though its 5 years old it still has good graphics compared to most games that come out every year.

  • @halo6534 i have a strong feeling that yourea halo fanboy

  • good review...in my opinion, this game is really good, there's a lot of things to do and see, but one thing i never really enjoyed was combat, to me it was really lame and unsatisfying, due to this I never enjoyed the game as much as I would've hoped...to me..fallout is more fun to play.

  • I liked Oblivion better than Fallout 3, but I still enjoyed fallout 3 and got addicted to it, but I got more adddicted to oblivion, but some weird reason I liked Fallout 3 better than new vegas!

  • JESUS LORD YES!! Finally a review that didn't suck Oblivion off for the whole time, although I still had wayyy more issues with it (pc version) than you mentioned. Just to name some: massive amounts of texture pop-in, the random NPCs having about six voices in all, leveling system that ultimately made no sense, level scaling, bows being totally useless as weapons, having too few hotkey slots etc. Though I'm thinking about reinstalling it while I'm typing this.

  • @bartholen I proudly suck no game off for the entire review. I personally liked the NPC's that say "I have no greeting", thought that was kind of funny. I have high hopes for the next installment though, I'm really hoping it's kick ass, and doesn't make me sleep to level up, or make me a vampire the entire game...

  • @Yuriofwind Ah so thats why the majority of your clips were at night not showing off the lush scenery, you couldn't go out in the day!

  • @bartholen IKR. I thought the leveling was complete BULL SHIT! I mean i was like level 2 when i finished Tiber Septim's Armor quest. Knights cant train very easily. Why cant you have ONE exp bar instead of like 1000 million? Also bows were completely useless except for vension farming but no one does that. Hotkey slots werent the biggest problem, but i noticed (like you) the NPCs had more than 5 voices..(e.g the BEGGARS)

  • I loved this game.... I PLAYED EVERY QUEST!!!!!!

  • who the fuck is patrik stewart?

  • this game is way better than fallout 3

  • Haha in every clip your just killing someone really important to the game or storyline lol.

  • @kingkrules I played the game my own special way. It's all cool if you scream "self defense" first.

  • haha I really like ur reviews gonna sub

  • @TheSuperpickle123 Well I'm glad you enjoy them :D.

  • wow look at that bounty! @2:08

  • butter

  • i like patrick stewart too :3

  • this was the first game i EVER played for 360 :D ahhh memories....

  • like fallout do u have followers?

  • @re4gamez There are followers, but they're pretty crappy and you have to work to get them. But if you like having other people fight for you, there's a magic school of conjuration that lets you summon creatures.

  • @LegolessVideos ohh,,that's cool! Iike summoning in final fantasy x :))

    tnx

  • that's it, i'm getting fallout3 GoTy

    and this also Goty

  • i agree with everything you said about it, but i think guns will like the vikingy olden times kinda theme if you know what i mean? and its got sean bean it aswell btw (he plays martin) hes the english actor who was in lord of the rings :P

  • how did you get a blue glass sword

  • lawl at the end..

  • whats with you and patrick stewart????

  • omg where is the picture at 4:38 from? good review dude. Do More!

  • Skyrim + ps move = win

  • @Doommage33 Hm, I can see that. Might work pretty good now that I think about it :D.

  • @Doommage33 Yeah because shaking your controller is just so fun.........

  • @Doommage33 Skyrim in my hands is win enough

  • @Doommage33 Yeah, that. Or an enable feature of able to use the USB keyboard/mouse. The only PS3 game I know that enables that is Unreal Tournament 3. Playing on Mouse/keyboard is so much easier when it comes to FPS. ;)

  • @Doommage33 skyrim+kinect =OMG

  • @stuart62dillon Begin Every Word With A Capital Letter. This Is So Not Spam Guyz!!!!1111.

    ;D.

  • u cant really blame the graphics, it was made in 2005

  • @SolidEliteForce you have a great point there:)

  • You are very good at reviewing / making gaming video's ! Keep up the good work :)

  • When you start Oblivion I have to admit it is pretty boring but after you get past that point like joining the Dark Brotherhood and all those guys it will be awesome!

  • why doesn't anyone know that sean bean makes the voice of the emperor's son?:D

  • @MichaelJhoan i knew that xD

  • i never played oblivion before and I'm thinking of getting but this is my question that i would love know. Can you make it TPS like in fallout 3..........someone please respond.

  • @PR3DAT0R129 Are you asking if you can make the game third person? If so, yes. Found using it awkward, just like in Fallout 3, and hell even New Vegas. But yeah it's in there.

  • @PR3DAT0R129 yes you can but there are millions of reasons to get it as it has at least 500 hours worth of gameplay , excellent quests and also fab mods :)

  • @PR3DAT0R129 i would like to help you, but whats TPS??

  • @elderscrolls75 Third Person Shooter.

  • @PR3DAT0R129 yah i think you can!

although the ranged combat is not the best.

  • @elderscrolls75 Ranged combat is kinda hard to do, but a bow and poisonous arrows works amazing. its also cool how u can make ur own enchanments and spells. try putting a frost enchanment on ur gloves and put do dammage on self. itl look like ur a badass with frost gloves and then ul look at ur health then die. lol
