Blood is overrated, FPS's with it exaggerate it way too much anyway, it just shows how sick our culture is becoming. Thank goodness for Nintendo or else there would only be violent blood spewing M rated games.

they say it doesnt even compare to the first game in that this one has unprecedented control with wm+

and its not a game geared towards multiplayer

its more along the lines of metroid where you're all on your own

Yeah actually I do think that a game centered around GUNS and SWORDFIGHTING needs blood, and multiplayer. Without those I feel it will lack in game play.

Does Boom Blox need explosions of guts whenever a tower topples? No, but this type of game, a game based on murdering people, needs to have the elements of a violent game. The ONLY reason there is no blood is so they can rate it teen; they want to sell more of the game while expecting to ride on the laurels of the first.

I agree with the multiplayer part, but I don't think its necessary to have blood and gore. Its superficial. It has no effect on the actual gameplay. Its effect is more in the setting, and blood in certain cases may enhance or detract from the world they created. Violence doesn't necessarily call for lots of blood. The Good the Bad and the Ugly (which this game's main character was inspired from) doesn't have much gore. Its more *BANG* *Clutches chest* *dead*. Not shooting blood everywhere.

Look at Bioshock and the Metroid Prime series.Those are both great hits.Yet neither has multiplayer.Although this game could use a little blood....

really good games doesnt need multiplayer and a lot of triple A titles wont make sense with multiplayer. metroid prime 3 and super mario galaxy didnt have multiplayer but looks at their success, same with zelda..lol zelda with multiplayer?? and the games that are comming out are good without multiplayer super mario galaxy 2, metroid other m, pikmin3, new zelda, redsteel2, no more heroes 2, and super mario bros wii.

ya and the same with assassins creed, it had no live capabilities but still totaly epic game! and the good thing is that these games are so good WITH OUT live or miltiplayer, but the creators are still making it possible for multiplayer and live, now that is what an epic game truly is, not just some game where the live gameplay is pretty good.

True with those types of games, but a first person shooter, with a linear story line, needs multiplayer to produce replayablity.

Those games mentioned above have such interactive worlds that the multiplayer feeling is almost replaced by NPCs; no multiplayer needed. But in this type of game with only cut scenes and NPCs that you kill (based of the first game), you need something to bring you back; to say "im going to play red steel 2 again" after a year. You see what im saying?

Well, I've seen actual gameplay footage, and it seems that it finally is one on one tracking of the Wii remote. Will be interesting to see if they use it effectively. The first game was a definite let-down.
