Spin it the way you want, but Saban is a huge upgrade. We've gone from having 2 coaches in 8 of the past 10 football seasons who couldn't have gotten any other D1 jobs to a guy who was coaching in the NFL and won an NC at LSU (who hadn't won since 58). Auburn has been very fortunate these past 10 years, but Alabama is still the bigger deal in the state. And now we've got the best coach. Tubbs is only as good as his assistants.

Anyway, my point isn't that...just a lil play on Alabama. I watched Alabama play this year, and their biggest problem was player inexperience, not coaching. Do I think Saban is going to come out smelling like a rose next year? Absolutely, but based on Shula's recruiting. They had a good team, with experience, will be a great team. My advice to Alabama...don't let your fans make your coaching decisions. And know that Bear Bryant (as great as he was) is DEAD!
