So Gandhi.. found our Blessed Lord - who claims to be God - the most perfect man..errr... but he wouldn't become Christian. Someone please tell me how Gandhi was not calling our Lord a liar.

I have heard this "Gandhi loves Christ.. not Christians.." nonsense preached over and over. It never ceases to amaze me that we Catholics cannot understand that Gandhi was referring to the British colonizers who were Christian and not to St Therese.

Is it a surprise India has almost 0% orthodox Catholics ?

God, I am such a sinner. Jesus, is truly God of everything and everyone. When I reflect on our Lord's teaching I see just how many times I mess up and act un-Christian. I pray, that I can have the type of love that Christ has for us.

What you are saying here is a complete opposite of the facts of history. You better check written history first and know who were killing whom in the early Church. Then you can find out who wrote the New Testament and how did the authors die? confession: I was an alterboy in the company of some very fine and often intoxicated non-authoritarian Irish priests.... well, myself and a alterboy collegue one day took a unopened bag of unconsecrated hosts: only simply for an innocent "snack" (just like potato chips), that is all.... (these hosts were not consecrated).... just something funny in goodwill to all humanity that I should pass along.... never take religion too seriously.... be safe and sane and always avoid being a "martyr"....
