It is possible to beat by having and having an unsaved document opened. Upon exit word will ask you to save and choose cancel, unless -f is added then shutdown will stop! shutdown -a wouldn't work, due to -t 0 it turns of anyway.

dude. that's the retarded way. instead of typing shutdown -s -t 0, type shutdown -s -t (then type any time; in seconds) then type -c and then type quotation marks and then you can post any comment you want. For example, i did this on one of my school computers and it was hilarious, type: shutdown -s -t 60 -c "I am VIRUS (whatever). I have control of your computer. I will now shutdown your pc and erase everything on the hardrive. hahaha!"...

Replace # with the time until it shuts down

And replac e "caption" with "your message"

You can try this yourself without your computer to shut down, just make the time really big, and to stop it go to Start>Run> Type in: shutdown.exe -a

Well I did this on my labtop, and when I clicked on the internet my laptop did not shutdown. It showed a cmd prompt real quick with stuff on it. So, I could not get back on the internet, so i went to the program file on the c: drive made a shortcut for the internet, and deleted the old internet shortcut, and I got back on. So, my laptop did not shutdown when I did the target line. So, pretty good. So, what ever I did didn't do the computer did not shutdown. shutdown -a > timer 0
