This is from "Aspel and Company", a Sunday evening chat show that host Michael Aspel presented for ITV in the UK in the late 80s and early 90s. Hence ITN Source, ITV's news service.

Sad that Mike Nesmith wasn't there in the studio to participate in this interview. The Monkees really were a very talented group and very funny actors. I'm old enough to recall seeing the show when in originally aired on network TV in the mid-60's. THANKS for sharing this "blast from the past" with us! :)
@JubalCalif mike was a true musican. he wrote number one hits before the monkess even got to together. mike always felt thge tv show and the monkess downplayed their muscian talant. nesmith was a great muscian. he hated the way the other always treid to be funny and not try and be more serious abou the music. peter was the only other one who was closew to bveing a real muscian. davey coul;d sing and mickley was a good drummer and a real actor
