Yes, the best FF of the serie.. the history is wonderful, sad, funny, adventure, the characters are a mix of valor and love, the villian kefka is the worse of all the ff, maybe the only villian near to him is sephirot....., this game must be en the next gen consoles... not in NDS, this must be in a great remake in 360 or PS3.. and square must to make a movie like FFVII AV.... whit this title
@fionapuppet Sephiroth was one of the most unsuccessful villains of the entire franchise, I would place the Emperor as number 2, since he had control of Both Heaven and hell at the same time. where as sephiroth never even got control of the planet as kefka and the Emperor of Palamecia did

@Masterheart if you think about it sephiroth did take over the life stream...his plan was to take over the earth but to do that he had to take the life stream...he did manage to do that...which is also why sephiroth never died.also why you had to fight and "kill" him like 4 times in the game and then they made a movie and he still never died..he was able to travel between life stream and life cloud just intercepted between him taking the planet
the toons from FF3 (aka FF4 in japan) were so much more memorable. The bad guys were more fun....Kafka would own Sephiroth in a fight. Kefka came from nothing, became a general, killed the emperor, destroyed the world and became a god. what did Sephiroth do??? Nothing but a whiny emo moma's boy.
and when the girl from FF7 died i was like WTF she's a master of life and cant even save herself...crappy healer = dead party.
To put it simply, Cloud was a great character with a great concept but thanks to the generally crappily written dialogue in ff7 he became some existential shmuck.

Terra is hotter with green hair, imho. She's wild, weird, and different. Green hair represents that part of her character. They should have kept it that way.
This is the most epic world map theme ever. Final Fantasy 6 is the best game in the entire series, and IMO, is one of the best RPGs, if not video games, in all of HISTORY.

I agree that it's pointless to bicker about whether it's 3 or 6 or 800 or whatever. Sometimes I think people just look for meaningless things to fight about, such as this. But personally, I call it FF6 just so I don't confuse it with the actual FF3, which I plan on playing soon.
This was the first video game to tear me up. The story and characters truly stirred emotions and even though the overall plot was the epic good vs evil work it was the characters, their differences and how they came together that makes this game absolutely amazing.

This game is known as Final Fantasy 6. It was initially called Final Fantasy 3 when it was released in the United States. If you want to keep calling it FF3 by all means go right ahead.
However just be aware, that this game is officially known as FF6 by Square Enix (the makes of the game) and Final Fantasy 3 is an entirely different game as well.

I absolutely agree that this was one of the best FF games ever made but we can't forget about FF IV. That game in my opinion had the best musical score and most memorable characters.
Love this theme. So much. It's all about adventure, travel, moving boldly through an unknown world to try and do what you know is right...it makes the world we live in seem so boring. It makes me want to break free from it all.
I know exactly what you mean. Me and two of my friends dedicate at least one weekend a month to going on some chaotic adventure because of things like this. We get involved in anything we see and then make the trek home by train.

What's with the idiots who can't get Terra theme music right lol? THIS IS NOT TERRA theme music in the game! Her theme music sound alike but it has a slower tune to it. This music is used for the World of Balance so get yourself correct my fellow FF6 fans. Her music is the same one that plays when you are naming her character.
Technically the slower version should probably be considered the "real" theme, since the characters' themes are always played when they are introduced, but I agree that this version is just as real.

In my opinion, this game is basically to me the best final fantasy game out there the music seems like it was put out from a real orchestra (which it probably was) also the game play has stories for each and every one of the characters and a big ass story line that i still have not beaten, yet i haven't had a lot of time to play. How about 12?? In my opinion it sucks haha. Well I just found it very boring with a hard to understand storyline most of the time. Missed the older games battlesl, felt ffx2 had perfected them (not the dress spheres but the movement around the battlefield)
FF12 was a good game, and people harp on it too much, mostly because of the confusing vocabulary and storyline, but i think Final Fantasy has always really been about thinking ahead with the storyline, me and my brother used to really think about what would happen next based on clues given, i think FF12 really followed that tradition by giving you a storyline that you cant just speed through.
This is indeed "Terra's Theme" from the soundtrack. The piece everyone usually thinks is Terra's theme is actually called "Awakening." Check the "Beginning of Fantasy - Terra's Theme" vid (Should be under the related videos) to see this piece done in full orchestra, with the title clearly displayed as "Terra's Theme" for whatever confirmation you may need.

Adding to the below comment, for all people complain (I guess) about it, 12 was really quite a good game. It helped that it wasn't actually a real-time game, to be sure, but the plot and world were wonderfully developed and interesting. Some of the characters were quite good as well (Ashe, Cid and Vayne come specifically to mind). And so much from previous FFs came back in 12, to good effect...
Cyan's theme is pretty heroic as well. It sounds like the theme of a person who is carrying the world on his back. And fighting with honor! :D

You know, it shouldn't really matter what it's called it's a great game, and it has great music. I myself call it FF3, because thats what I know it by, it may be VI in japan, but when I was young it was 3. It shouldn't really matter what you call it, It's Final Fantasy, play it.. enjoy yourself.

I agree that it's pointless to bicker about whether it's 3 or 6 or 800 or whatever. Sometimes I think people just look for meaningless things to fight about, such as this. But personally, I call it FF6 just so I don't confuse it with the actual FF3, which I plan on playing soon.

This was the first video game to tear me up. The story and characters truly stirred emotions and even though the overall plot was the epic good vs evil work it was the characters, their differences and how they came together that makes this game absolutely amazing.

This game is known as Final Fantasy 6. It was initially called Final Fantasy 3 when it was released in the United States. If you want to keep calling it FF3 by all means go right ahead.
However just be aware, that this game is officially known as FF6 by Square Enix (the makes of the game) and Final Fantasy 3 is an entirely different game as well.

Love this theme. So much. It's all about adventure, travel, moving boldly through an unknown world to try and do what you know is right...it makes the world we live in seem so boring. It makes me want to break free from it all.

I know exactly what you mean. Me and two of my friends dedicate at least one weekend a month to going on some chaotic adventure because of things like this. We get involved in anything we see and then make the trek home by train.

What's with the idiots who can't get Terra theme music right lol? THIS IS NOT TERRA theme music in the game! Her theme music sound alike but it has a slower tune to it. This music is used for the World of Balance so get yourself correct my fellow FF6 fans. Her music is the same one that plays when you are naming her character.

Technically the slower version should probably be considered the "real" theme, since the characters' themes are always played when they are introduced, but I agree that this version is just as real.

In my opinion, this game is basically to me the best final fantasy game out there the music seems like it was put out from a real orchestra (which it probably was) also the game play has stories for each and every one of the characters and a big ass story line that i still have not beaten, yet i haven't had a lot of time to play. Oh well the best game in my opinion and my first rpg game ever.

How about 12?? In my opinion it sucks haha. Well I just found it very boring with a hard to understand storyline most of the time. Missed the older games battlesl, felt ffx2 had perfected them (not the dress spheres but the movement around the battlefield)

FF12 was a good game, and people harp on it too much, mostly because of the confusing vocabulary and storyline, but i think Final Fantasy has always really been about thinking ahead with the storyline, me and my brother used to really think about what would happen next based on clues given, i think FF12 really followed that tradition by giving you a storyline that you cant just speed through.

This is indeed "Terra's Theme" from the soundtrack. The piece everyone usually thinks is Terra's theme is actually called "Awakening." Check the "Beginning of Fantasy - Terra's Theme" vid (Should be under the related videos) to see this piece done in full orchestra, with the title clearly displayed as "Terra's Theme" for whatever confirmation you may need.

Adding to the below comment, for all people complain (I guess) about it, 12 was really quite a good game. It helped that it wasn't actually a real-time game, to be sure, but the plot and world were wonderfully developed and interesting. Some of the characters were quite good as well (Ashe, Cid and Vayne come specifically to mind). And so much from previous FFs came back in 12, to good effect...
