This performance hooked me into listening and appreciating other genres of music. I used to be all hip hop, and when I seen this on tv back when I was thirteen, It was jawdropping. And opened my mind to listen to different genres of music.
I remember watching this and Chris Rock made a smart ass sarcastic comment after wards that he appreciates music with a good melody in other words taking a jab at prodigy
I was 16yrs old and we had just got cable at my house a few months prior to this being on (parents live in the country). I remember seeing this and being totally blown away...like seeing Nirvana's Unplugged session for the first time. This was the first exposure I ever had to electronic music and was instantly hooked ever since. One of those things I'll never forget seeing.
OMG the memories."Dito" to that one. I reCALL watching this on mtv and my mom just looked at me like i was insane. she said Keith looked possessed and like a devil worshiper. I had posters of them on my wall. and my father said "WHAT THE HELL HAS GOTTEN N2 YOU?" most parents wouldn't think their little black daughters at 12 would be fascinated by a group like this. BUT I WAS. and still am. Now im 24 and still IN LUV WITH THEM. A TRUE FAN. I HOPE I CAN C THEM IN CONCERT NEXT YR
OMG, I remember watching this when I was 9, and remember thinking in 9 year old terms HOLY SHIT, who are they?????????? lol.....one of the most memorable performances from MTV music awards, ever.
3:10 Ah I remember vividly watching this and my mom saw this part and was like"GREGORY that's DISGUSTING! you don't need to be watching this" and here I am 13 years later still watching it.
@goodgodgreg i remember this too but why in the world do i remember him spitting into someone's mouth? now i know i'm not crazy but that clearly didn't happen! ah well, maybe i am crazy. lol :(

This was the shit. I'm a black skinhead and remember going to Britain to see this live. Was friggin schweet! This was a true hip hop-punk ol' skool joint. Hip hop and punk were born together. You ain't crazy, you saw the truth.
@goodgodgreg lol same here! I was so exicted to see this on tv. I was only 7 and I remember being partially really into it, partially really freaked out lol.
Wow, the audio in this is great! Thx for uploading :)

This was the year I fell in love with the Prodigy. Madonna did the introduction for this I believe; they were on the same label at the time.

@MrBaeza1994 Being a skinhead isn't necessarily the same thing as being a Neo Nazi. Look up the history of skinheads, you might be surprised.
