  • Thank you so much for posting this beautiful version of Ave Maria. I've added it to my Ave Maria playlist. Thanks!

  • Beautiful piece, but i wish i could sing it without feeling like i should love god. Cuz i don't. I love music.

  • Perfectly played, and so wonderful and beautiful it brings the tears to the eyes, as the content is Heavenly, in praise of God and His Mother Mary Our Lady !

  • and just as this music, bible, all religions... everything has been created by mind of man in hope of better understanding of world around us...

  • Simply sublime.

  • So Holy it seems to come from Heaven itself, this is played so beautifully, many congratulations, to the violinist, wonderful !

  • guameriviolinaddict: Who are the musicians and where can I buy a CD? Thank-you

  • ...there is not need to pray at all...we live and move with in god.....we can not live with out god....god does not need our prays.....

god is alpha and omega...wich means god is all in all...we live and move with in him.....we are not separated from god...my finger does not have a "separated conciousness"...it moves...because i decide to....my finger does not need to pray to me....i know what it needs....

it is the same about God..we are his fingers....

there is not good or bad..ONLY ONE

  • What Mary asks of the Father is always granted. God is reliable. She trusts in His Will. She asks what the Holy Spirit prompts. Let it be.

  • think that gounod/bach ave maria come from the lady in the lake by walter scott

  • Bach is the best. what a emotion he can make with his music. and my favorite of the human kind: MARIA THERESA. An exaple: FOR ALL THOSE CRIMINALS IN THE VATICAN.

  • Bach is the best. what a emotion he can make with his music.

  • I love this so much

  • Beatiful piece of art! Sheds tears

  • Unearthly in its magic and wonder !

Now you know why people become nuns and priests !

  • randommagnum- you have it YES! we ask Mary to bring our prayers to her son through her immaculate heart. If you practice regularly, it becomes one of the most precious moments of your day. The holy family is very profound - God bless . . .

  • Tocou No Velorio Da Minha Avó

  • Also, I am Polish, so the Holy Father images and the painting from Sr. Kowalska's Divine Mercy visions were truly moving as well. Bog zapwac i dziekuje!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. I'm getting ready to get married on Saturday, with this being played on strings as a meditation for the presentation of a bouquet of roses to the Virgin Mary. Listening to this now gave me a smile, a tear, and a pleasant chill. Everything is so hectic and rushed right now, trying to get it all ready and perfect, so my fiancee won't have to worry herself and will have the wedding she wants and deserves. Thank you and God bless.

  • Ave Maria Gratia Plena Dominus Tecum Benedicta Tu In Mulieribus Et Benedictus Fructus Ventris Tui Iesus Sancta Maria Mater Dei Ora Pro Nobis Nunc Et In Hora Mortis Nostrae AMEN

  • So beautiful wonderful rendition, magical !

  • Okay, religious question (hope you won't mind)... Many have said (usually in a critical way) that Catholics pray *to* Mary, but I believe I've also heard that, in actuality, they pray *with* Mary (and she prays on our behalf)...perhaps you could help clear this up for me? Thanks in advance.

  • @randommagnum yes it would be better stated that Catholics ask Mary to pray for us and with us, on our behalf in order to draw us closer to her Son Jesus. The Orthodox have a saying..."Most Holy Mother of God save us" Which in reality means to ask Mary to help us toward our salvation. St Paul said in 1 Cor 9:22 " I became all things to all men, that I might save all" Paul himself could save no one...but his prayers helped them on their path to Jesus

  • @randommagnum Perhaps the following discussion about the intercession of saints could help you:

  • @randommagnum

This is an old comment, I know, but I just really wanted to thank you for calmly seeking knowledge and not just attacking a religion you do not understand.

    Your comment made my night.

  • heel erg mooi bedankt uit Amsterdam Afra1439

  • Simplesmente maravilhoso.

  • God bless the souls of Blessed Mother Theresa and His Holliness the servent of God Pope JohnPaul II . They are truly saints .

  • Just beautiful! Thanks for the share josparkes!

  • guarneriviolinaddict, I just read what you wrote (on June 23, 2007 ?), where you mention playing it much slower and that sometimes when you finish tears have made their way towards the violin... (that's beautiful!) I read it 'through my own', as I viewed the beautiful pictures of Our Blessed Mother, and those of (the Saints) Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II... Thank you so much for posting it!!

  • SCHUBERT.....

  • Madre Tereza e João Paulo II, quanta saudade de vocês.

  • Eu tambem, grande saudade... Mas Eles estão no Céu!!

  • I swear, I just keep coming back and back for more of this. There was a time when I heard the Bach/Gounod version, I skipped over it looking for Shubert''s. Glad I stayed and listened...I play piano and keys, and JS Bach is my all-time fav of Baroque. What a combo this truly is, as if the Blessed Mother herself created it.

  • @jetboy33 oh man she must be really talented. name something by her i'll look it up on itunes.

  • So very beautiful, very moving, and His Holiness The Pope, looks so wonderful.

  • yes this music is so beautiful. i cry... my soul get vibrant~

  • Hallo guarneriviolinaddict, this rendition is simply wonderful. It moves my soul. Thank you very much for uploding this!

    Greatings from Germany, Pyrare1

  • Best wishes to you in Germany Pyrare1...some of my family comes from Alsace Lorraine near the Rhine and Koln. I shall one day visit there again

  • it is honoring our Mother Mary, brings tears to my eyes. This was part of our wedding and will be at my funeral, Mo. Mary has the ultimate faith

  • St. Cecilia(Patron Saint of Music), Mary, Morther of God , PRAY FOR US!

  • Woytila and Terese, pray for us!

  • I don't know which I like better, the music or the pictures! Where is that Divine Mercy painting? it looks so beautiful! I s that the original in Poland?

  • This is one of the original early Divine Mercy paintings and yes it's located in the altar in Poland

  • Beautiful! *-* This melody, make me cry...

  • listen to this while gazing up at the night sky, it is breathtaking

  • Anything can be held sacred, even music.

  • I wouldn't say sacred. music isn't sacred. =S

  • This is so sacred and beautiful it brings the tears to the eyes, wonderfully played. superb !

    UK

  • Did you play the violin here? I close my eyes and listen... it speaks to my soul so deep. Yes, I understand the tears. Thank you God for this wonderful gift you gave to mankind.

  • i know this onei sang it in eighth grade and my friend did the accompanied me :)

  • yep, that Jesus of Nazareth was a great Jew. so many beautiful pieces of music written to worship him by... just breath taking.

  • Not keen on the strings in this one :S . Still a lot better that alicia keys version from superbowl or whatever it was :D

  • Bach's was always my mom's favorite and it brings back so much. Thank you.

  • I first heard t his more than forty years ago at age 11 when I was a soprano in a large church choir.

That was just before I lost my mother. I have never forgotten it and its beauty makes me ache and at the same time takes away the pain.

Ave Maria gratia plena dominus tecum... Produce paz, ayuda a meditar.

  • For the longest time, I never liked Bach's Ave...and I'm a huge Bach fan, always preferred Schubert's. But I tell ya, lately this is now my favorite. Cheers.

  • Perfect video. I wish I could rate more than 5*.

  • beautiful music...Bach the genius as usual

  • My favourte rendition of the Ave Maria, Gounod truly transforms Bach here. It's lovely to see a video that glorifies the Church of which Mary is mother rather than a singer or musician.

  • ...simply fabulous...

    g.k.

  • ...semplicemente favoloso.......

    g.k.

  • Beautiful. guarneriviolinaddict, you show a rare mix of musical and spiritual sensibility. God bless you.

  • It is just so magical with the strings...it touches your spirit in a completely different way. I sing this song and it is not easy...like the Schubert version. I know I will spend a lifetime trying to get it just right, so much work! Where the listener can fall peacefully into the beauty of the song, and the singer/instrument/structure does not distract in any way.

  • Precioso vídeo de profunda religiosidad

  • preferisco shubert

  • its bach my friend

  • i know it's bach, i prefer shubert... the original :) thanks though

  • Surely it's Bach, but don't forget Gounod because it's his melody that comes over Bach's harmonies.

  • quando l'amore accarezza la musica...

  • this is beautiful

  • impresionante , felicidades Virgen maria hoy 8 de diciembre dia de tu inmaculada Concepción

  • great music! makes me cry everytime i hear it

  • Where is that metal cross from with the firefighters around it from? The twin towers?

  • Yes,the cross blessed on its memorial.Several steel beams fell perfectly upright. A worker spray painted "Gods House" on a nearby wall. These were the only untwisted metal, see photos of them in the rubble on the internet. Where was God on 9/11? Directly in our midst -Jesus suffering on his cross, there to sanctify our own suffering. We all encounter personal ground zeros in life, remember this image, carry your own crosses - we suffer beside Jesus. The Virgin Mary will be there praying for us.

  • Beautiful pictures and a great hymn.

Oh Mother Mary, full of grace, pray for us all now and at the hour of our deaths and Help us please mother, to do whatever Jesus asks of us.

    I love this music.

Thank you very much my friend. You are blest, indeed. Reman blest.

    Welldone and God bless †

  • this clip made me cry!! it's so inspirational; especially seeing pics of the pope

  • My, I LOVE this so much! I learn the viola and I hope I will be able to learn a version of this! It is sooooo lovely and gentle and powerful!

  • Breathtaking violin solo and instrumental.

    WOW WOW WOW

  • Oh my, this is so touching--you made me cry, it was so lovely! Thank you!!

  • wow i really love this song and you played it really well! beautiful pictures of Mother Mary, the Holy Father and Mother Theresa! wonderful!

  • By the way, I think the acoustics sound delightful with two instruments. I agree with your complaints when the flute comes in as the resonance is great, but I can well imagine the perfomance splendid in a different environment. In any event, I enjoyed your playing- a warming, reverent performance.

  • I love playing this, though, on the part of clavier. I must admit that playing the duet has spoiled the piece for me and it is difficult to play if I don't have a violinist on hand. It almost makes me want to pick one up so that I can learn just this song and play along with a recording of myself.
