  • paint those black covers bumpers to gray

  • @NoxNoctisUmbra I'm still debating if I want to paint the lower cladding in the same color, if I do, then I'll paint the bumpers in the same color.

  • WHAT A SOUND. . .W124 for life

  • what wheels are you using? brand & size?

  • @Junhung90 HRE, model 546. Front wheels are 17 x 8.5 (et27), rear wheels are 17x10 (et34)

  • @helicopter201 . Any shop can get parts and for many whove worked on 500SL/SL500 from the 90's - same principals apply here. Btw, track use is not out of the question, with larger brakes.

  • @helicopter201 Thank u. Maintenance is not bad; a few known issues can happen to some cars (upper wire harness for 1993 and later cars can go bad, the electronic throttle attenuator can go bad those two are not cheap. The car is not hard to work on, but in the engine bay it can be a tight squeeze. Overall, the car is tough as nails & very durable, high millage examples have been known to run as good as lesser mileage cars.

  • What year? I have a 1987 560 SEL....might have to challenge your W124 with my W126 as the best mercedes of all time haha but anyway your car is superb.

  • 1992

  • haha dude trust me. Im love my car to death im just saying it doesnt have the power of a V8. But the handling is ubelivable. ahah

  • :) I hear you.

  • ya man! it sounds like the best! i got the 300e straight 6. looks nice no power tho haha

  • Naw, dont cut your self short on your 300E. I used to have a mint 1989 300E that I traded towards the 500E and I loved my 300E for 6 years. Although the 300E does not have the pickup as the 500E does, the 300E is so stable at higher speeds and with great handling that most new cars can match. Hell, the 300E was used as the basis from which Porsche hand build the 500Es and E500s. The W124 chassis is one hell of a model and to this day rates as the best cars Mercedes ever made.

  • is that a v8??

  • Yep. A 5.0 liter, 32-valve DOHC V-8 with an aluminum block with silicon crystal bore surfaces, four cams with electrohydraulic variable valve timing, hydraulic valve tappets, and sodium-filled exhaust valve stems. The M119 is the best engine Mercedes ever made.

  • is that a blow off valve i hear??

  • Nope. The engine is not turbocharged.

  • great sound 500E V8 rules!

  • :) Amen to that!
