This boss was a joke. Seriously. I think Star Magician was at his best in The Lost Age. This battle took me two minutes without Djinni or summons at level 40.

MY STRATEGY FOR GETTING A TON OF EXPERIENCE WHEN BEATING THIS BOSS BUT IT TAKES LONG

before: matthew lv 51 sveta lv 51 tyrell lv 51 himi lv 51

after: matthew 53 sveta 52 tyrell 53 himi 53

i just make matthew attack and ocasionally use psynergy one the spheres . same with tyrell and sveta (beastmode). and i make himi heal the party with wish well during every of her turn NOTE: you get more experience the more spheres you kill. finally i just beat the magician. I GOT 2,119,062 exp

He never cast Megacool on me, always Spark Plasma. It's w/e though, this dude is a piece of cake. Oh and if you just repeatedly kill his balls you can get an amazing ton of exp. by the end of the fight. All of my characters went from 62 to 65 in just this one fight. :D

is pretty easy kill him...you can kill him with level 40-99

but is highly recommend you must be level 70+ cuz the balls have a lot of hp....

Wow, star magician in dark dawn is a joke! he was devestating in TLA but in dark dawn? he sucks! that mine ball did well over 100 in TLA but Dark Dawn? does around 40-80! how weak! he's a complete joke! vote up if you agree with that star magician is now weak.

response to @tnguy245 the place to get that rod is at the village herb store just before that place where you need the rod and best place to train is the apollo sanctum got from level 49 to 99 in less than 3 hours there.

Same I beat him at 35 aswell and gained like 4 levels on each of my characters after the battle.... I was litterally going WOW.... WOW................ WOW omg XD

And yeah the fight was a good 20 minutes of full defensive djinns/healing djinns and with full party healing each turn and occasionnal revives from the main character... Most imba djinn ever had to be Chasm followed closely by Bark..... Seriously.

I heard originally that this boss was hard = /. I went off against it right after Himi joined at lvl 32 about 10 minuites ago. I must concur with everyone, whyyy does he die so easily? Xo. Steel got easten about 3 times. poor thing

Yeah, summon rush all of them. Dont ever except a real challenge...

Fighting without abusing your summons is way more fun than this.

In my opinion, the game makes it too easy to use the summons, the price the player has to pay is too low because everybody can get his djinn on set mode after the fight is done..

I could beat Dullahan easily with summons, i tryed it but i dont saved the game, i want to take on his real challenge.

@WorldOfIvillis best place to level is definitely at the apollo lens place where you need the umbra gear, fight the tua warriors, got me to lvl 80 or so in about in hour

@WorldOfIvillis apollo tuaparang warriors(tua) give very good exp i think for normal monsters they give the most in the games they usually appear in groups of 2 -3 3 very rare 2 allways they give atleast 21k xp plus and if u kill them with djinn your looking at big bonuses and water of life everytime

Same strategy as in TLA, keep the Thunder Balls in one piece, destroy the rest. Seal Star Magician's psynergy to prevent his Megacool and Spark Plasma.

too easy. ignored the balls basically except for guardian ones. sol blade is firing megiddo almost every shot for 855 damage and he just dropped so fast...

Omg Star Magician is a joke. So weak! What the hell did they do to him? He was actually a serious challenge in GS:TLA.

I remember his mine ball attack doing massive damage to your party and now it does like ~100 damage. A fucking joke.

Take out guardian and healing ball and then start raping Star Magician.

he would originaly do about 300-500 damage if u were weaker

But still, in the battle I really asked myself "how the fuck is he supposed to kill me his attacks don't hurt at all".

My chars are all 99 in TLA and when I fight Star Magician his mine ball STILL makes significant damage (~500 IIRC). So yeah, he simply lacks offensive power in this game

Also, imo not using summons is more effective against him because you can control which balls stay alive and also focus your attacks on him alone

k all my mercury dijinn are sleet, chill, dewdrop, torrent, spout, coral, teardrop, geyser, mist, mellow, claw, surge, serac, spring, rime, shell, and foaw...which one is missing?

@leanbacksp ur missing Pincer Located in a house in Belinsk after you receive Eclipse. Talk to the two people sleeping in a house to the left. Then cast "Douse" and "Cold Snap". Climb up the ladder to find the djinni.

since you'v already activated the eclipse and left Belinsk its too late sorry

I guess that's one thing that is disappointing about this game. The no return points are really no return points. I got to level 70 from farming the Tua Warriors then I looked the Djinni locations up and I was like ....shit. 33 hours of gameplay and I missed a ton of djinn because I thought you could come back when you got the ship @@.

I didn't want to walkthrough the game because that ruins the story. Lose/lose either way =S

yes you do need to use cold snap and run around and use growth on a plant but u see i came back to harappa after there were dark monster on the map..as of now i have all dijinn except the last mercury which i dont know the name and the venus in harapaa named Brick...do u want me to list all my mercury dijinn?
