Didn't he do.. 1 amp per a coil at 2ohms.. cause the subs are dual 2ohm so either 2ohm load on each coil or 1ohm final load... .5 is crazy and can lead to disaster... but still nice

some amps double the load and some split it in half when strapped. In this case the sundowns split it in half so a one ohm load at the woofer is two ohm per amplifier when they are daisy chained. If I were to wire an amp per coil each amp would be at 2 ohms (because both woofers have dual four ohm coils)....
