my parents were into gay pop like spandau ballet and duran duran so that all they have on vinyl.. oh yea they actually had ONE zeppelin album! (and thats only cos it had stairway to heaven on it..).
im the only one in my family that listens to rock and roll and metal etc. so you know what i did? started my own collection! i have about 350+ cds and now startin to collect vinyl from where i can! and who knows maybe it might get passed down through the years and maybe start a new family thing!!
Also, you can tell from this video that they are, above all, real. Authentic. They know what it's all about. Ben gave a pretty good speech. And they gotta be real cool to hang with. Think Dimebag. Funny as shit, too. Had to watch a second time, couldn't hear cuz Chris had me laughing my ass off at 4:42 .
My first vinyl was... a shitload. Probably as many as many as John Fred had gotten from that garage sale. But it was pretty much just classical stuff that I wasn't really into, someone said was trying to get rid of them but didn't say what was in it. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was in there, so that was my first rock '73rpm. First one I actually bought was KISS' Destroyer, for 50 cents at a garage sale.

Vinyl is the best. My grandparents sold all of mine but I was able to sneek out my copy of The Monster Mash. which kicks ass once a year.
